Good Evening, Everyone,

This was a busy day. Rusty was busy having a flat-blue rest day. The beans were busy having lunch with friends at the St. Regis Cafe (student run) of Paul Smiths College and then attending the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association's exhibit and meeting at Paul Smiths. You would not believe how beautiful these canoes are (the restorations are fantastic). The canoes were mostly from the early 20th century (ca. 1905-1920s and the construction was wood and canvas/shellac. It is a true labor of love for the people who restore the boats. These are the type of canoes my family rented for our vacations in the Adirodacks in the 1940s, so I was completely captivated.
When we got home at +9 I cleaned the house and mowed the lawn (the part that can be seen from the street). Gotta keep ahead of chores because next week we will be busy every day at Canoe Outing.

Rusty is having a low-key day, but he ate almost all the food we left for him. Now he's waiting for me to sit with him while he eats his dinner.

Everyone have a good weekend. Off now to visit some condos while watching the Mets game. (multi-tasking). TGIF!

Looks like Rusty and China had about the same type of day!! Guess even the LagoonMeister and his Deputy LagoonMistress have to take a day off occasionally!!

OK now Rusty....I guess it's time we get back to work! Kitties need supervising! ~ China

Yup, safe flat blue is good while the beans are busy. OK Rusty, lagoon tonight?

I love the old wooden boats. One of our shells is a laminated wood imitation of a old classic shell - we use it for marketing events cause it always brings attention.

I loved seeing the pictures of the old ones from the 1900's- and think it's amazing how they are restored!

Nice blue cycle for Rusty- glad he ate well today!

Nice flat day today, nice of Rusty to let you go out today. John made wood strip canoes back in MN. I've got an old wooden shell that i need to restore tooI
