Champ had another good couple of cycles yesterday!! I've finally had to admit that Champ's not the sharpest tool in the shed. He woke me up at 5:30 this morning and wouldn't shut up so I'm thinking, boy, I'd better get out there and give him some food, maybe he's low!! So I go out to the kitchen and there sits the food I had set out for him at 3:30 in the morning! Come on, Champ! At least look in your food bowl before you start making noise!! Goodness! So he ate 1 oz of food at his +11 and 0.8 oz at AMPS. Hopefully, that's why his +3 is so high.

Well, I have another busy day. I have to work and then I have to go up to the mountains to my sister's place because she's out of town and I told her I'd collect her eggs and feed the chickens and the kitties. I'm just glad she boarded the horses so I don't have to feed them. I hope Champ's numbers don't go low this afternoon so my DD can go with me. It's a long drive (about an hour each way) and it would be nice to have company. If not, at least I've got a great stereo in the vehicle and a fully loaded ipod!!

It looks llike Mannie has been talking to Champ and told him to let you have a permission slip! :lol: It should be nice just to get away and enjoy the drive. Is it cooler up there?

Hi Ann!! Much, much cooler up there. They don't even have air conditioning in their house!! They have these humungous elk come into their yard and chomp on their grass. Very pretty up there...you totally forget you live so close to Las Vegas.

Patty: ok...I have to say I don't think there is anything wrong with Champ's smarts....after all, you ARE getting up, aren't you so something is working :lol: :lol: :lol: His numbers are looking so great; this makes me very, very happy for you.

The trip to your sister's sounds wonderful!!! I hope Danielle gets to go with you. What a lovely drive that would be. Have a safe trip and enjoy your day...you deserve it!

LOL! Junior does the same thing! They'd be neck in neck if there was ever a meathead competition.

Your sister's place sounds so cool! I love how you get to learn about people from all walks of life through this board.

My DD ended up having to stay home with Champ because his numbers were dropping. :sad: In a way, it was okay because I got to listen to what I wanted to on my ipod. I usually like hip hop and alternative music, but I listened to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass all the way up! I have fond memories of that music from my childhood in the 60's. On the way home, I listened to Neil Diamond all the way back!! I LOVE Neil Diamond!!!

Now I have the most wonderful cat in the world sleeping on my desk, keeping me company!! He must have missed me today! :-D

Chuckling to myself thinking of your first weeks here and your struggle with Champ's numbers, thinking he'd never get to those greens. Patty, your boy has definitely arrived!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hope your weekend has been great... Herb Alpert was a favorite of my grandparents. Many fond memories of those albums!!

I was on the pom pom squad...dance squad ....and we always did our little routines to Herb Alpert!! Weren't we all just 16?? :lol: :lol:

PJ party it is!!! Thank goodness I have to work tonight so I don't mind staying up a bit. I have to get to the dentist tomorrow for an emergency visit...broke a tooth yesterday morning, though I think it's the same tooth I broke about 15 years ago that was repaired (dentist used composite material like you would for a filling, but molded it to look like the piece of tooth that broke off). I'm never eating popcorn again!! I haven't had a cavity since I was like 17 or so and only the one broken tooth (originally broke it on a cherry pit). If it's not one thing costing me money around here, it's another!!
