The weekend is finally here! Blackie is still bouncing - I wish his bg's would settle down.

WCR: Blackie is feeling fine. He is laying on my lap as I'm typing, which is a little unusal. He is eating well and all P's are in place. It's gotten much easier to give him fluids lately which is good for both of us.

Glad tha Blackie is feeling good, but PINK? Blackie that is so 50s of you. Retro isn't in right now.

Hi there -

Thanks for stopping by to visit! Glad it's getting easier to give him fluids. I remember how tough it was at first; now Emma and I are pros at it. She very patiently sits in her spot, and doesn't flinch at all when I stick her, and it's an 18 gauge needle! She's gotten really good about it...even purrs sometimes! The best part is I can see that it makes her feel better. I keep her pretty steady with 50 mL every other day, but when we were doing 100 mL once a week, I could see how lethargic she would get by the 6th day, and then perk right up after she got her dose. Some people think I'm a little crazy when they see an IV bag hanging from the curtain rod in my living room, but that's ok!

Blackie is surfing the pinks. :sad: I hope he comes back from RBC soon. I would think about a dosecrease if it wasn't for those greens yesterday.

I would think about a dosecrease too. :smile: Even though he was green yesterday, it was high green so there's room for more juice. You should be fine with a 0.25 increase if you want. You can always feed to prevent or soften drops, but the extra insulin should help him keep the bounces lower and shorter.

Blackie and Shadow are in the pinks today. <sigh> thinking about an increase myself....

Blackie is pink - Mannie is pink! What is up with our boys! I hope Blackie clears this bounce soon - he had such nice numbers the other night. Back down you go Blackie! You can do it!
