Good Morning LL! Yesterday was unusual ohmygod_smile . A quick drop into the greens in the morning, then a quick bounce into high numbers for the evening. Don't have a clue confused_cat . DH did the shot again this morning and is watching the TDF. Kind of ho hum today, though. We have marine layer, and DH & DM have wood carving later this morning.

WCR Only 4 Ps so far this morning, but Clean Plate Club established. Tess is on window patrol, looking for birdies and sunshine.

Hi guys .. wow, that was quite the cycle yesterday .. from fairly low to fairly high, tess must of been keeping you guys on your toes for some reason! Hoping she comes down off this pink floor, but in a slower style then yesterday .. have a great day guys!

Hi Ann! Hope Tess gives you a slightly less dramatic cycle today.

I asked this in your last condo, but I think I posted too late. Can I ask how you measure your insulin doses? I noticed on Tess's spreadsheet that you mark drop numbers (4 drops, 3 drops etc.) and I'm intrigued, especially since Karre is on really small doses too and I tend to worry about measuring them accurately.

ohmygod_smile She couldn't give me one point less! I got a +2 today because i didn't want to get caught out again like yesterday. But Tess assures me ….

Sorry Jane, I gave up last night, I really didn't want to see an even worse number and i got distracted by a number of things this morning. I'm finally back to condos.

Since the syringes tend to have so much variance I end up wasting a lot of insulin double checking. Anyway, here's what we do:
  • -1- slightly overdraw the insulin beyond .5u
    -2- tap out the bubbles
    -3- squeeze out the insulin to the .5u line
    -4- twist out the drops, counting, until syringe is completely empty
    -5- Subtract the numbers of drops you need from the drops you counted
    -6- repeat steps 1 through 3
    -7- Squeeze out the number of drops from step 5 to get to your correct dose

Well at least we are down into yellow and hoping this nice slow slidage continues. no more skydiving, Tess!

Hi Ann, that was some dramarama from Tess yesterday with the drop! Love the pic! :lol: Tess, please continue on with the nice slow slidage! Hope you have the same nice weather as we do today.

Thanks for the explanation on measuring drops. I'd read it before but didn't quite get it. Now I do. I hope we get to measure drops some day. :cool: :lol: My Tour is just past the sprint point. Looks like Sagan has that wrapped up as long as he can finish in Paris. I might be using the FF for most of the rest of the stage.

Glad Tess is coming down! Looks like I missed a Big Drama--Hope it is over now and she will go back to her lovely blue green kittiness!! Actually, Moonie is on 0.4U which I measure with the photos that were done by Steve and Jock a few years ago, I dont think they are around FDMB anymore..But they were surprisingly accurate..

Not going up much for a food spike so I think the slide will continues tonight. At least the turn around is nice an short lately.

Barb, scary to say i am getting used to it. At least I know now that she will come back down soon.

Ann and Sienne, no drama today, Thank goodness! anti-jinx (Not taking any chances there! :? ;-) )

Tess and Rusty will be splashing together in the lagoon soon, Ella. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Roni, the problem is that the syringes have been so off lately. Yesterday we had one that didn't even get to the 0 line when it was totally empty.
