Yesterday AM started high from a bounce but PM was hovering between blue and yellow, so today's AMPS is not too bad. Impressively, Papaya followed me out to the kitchen for her +1.5 meal. She did that when her BG was really, really low a couple of days ago, but today it didn't seem to be for any particular reason. It's amazing to see her wanting to walk around like this
When she finished eating she wheeled around and clomped back to her cat bed. Later I heard her using the litter, and back to bed, so she was really mobile this AM.
I had been back to using the locally available OneTouch Ultra with its expensive strips because I ran out of Relion Prime strips a few weeks before friends were going to the US. They picked up more strips so now my brain is making the switch back to US numbers. When I saw the 245 today I was disappointed because with 4:30 AM brain I was thinking of it as 24.5 mmol/L which is 441 mg/dL. I realized my mistake when I actually went to write it down . . . that's better! Not as high as I thought!
For others that use the Relion Prime - do you have trouble getting the strips? Does Walmart usually have very little stock? Once I drove 2 hours across the border to Grand Forks and the Walmart didn't have ANY in stock. They suggested driving over into the next state to Crookston, and that Walmart had in total 9 boxes of strips. My friends picked strips up for me this time in Fargo and they cleared out the Walmart - of the meager five boxes they had in stock. It just seems weird to me that their stock would be so low. Is it just the places I'm going or do others see this as well?

EDITED TO ADD: Quite a drop by +4 and a couple hours yet to nadir, but I had to leave for work so I fed her some 13% before I left and put out some Friskies pate.
EDITED (LATER) TO ADD: Wow, both AM and PM I left food out for her while I was gone and she ATE IT. I'll worry about her a lot less if she keeps up that habit!
