another pink morning. Mannie did seem to clear that nasty 435 at pmps yesterday, up a little this morning, but he is happy, content and ready to get the day going. I am off hiking , so Mannie is on his own until I get home around +11, maybe pmps. Food is in the auto feeder. So Mannie - please be a good boy until your bean gets home. With a 312 start he should be just fine. Right Mannie?

WCR: Mannie is very affectionate this morning - full of purrs and cuddles. and head butts. and rubs. and rolls in the catnip stash. He has secured the interior. Breffis #1 eaten with gusto, #2 about to be served before I head on out the door. Looks like normalcy in Mannie-land.

Have a good day everyone! I hope to visit condos when I get home.

Hey Guys & Gals, I'm chillin' today, too. That surfing was great last night! Mannie, do you want the bungees back? They helped me get down to BLUE!!

Hi everybody! Thanks for visiting Mannie and his condo today, and watching over him while I was gone. I came home from a great 15 mile hike to find Mannie at a 239. YAY!!! And what a good boy! cat_pet_icon

And thanks everyone who dropped in here today! The was really nice. It was an historical one - retraces one of the old RR here - Great Northern. 15 miles of railroad history, right down the the tunnels through the mountains, and snowsheds and tinder boxes... all date back to 1910-1916. Just fascinating to be able to see history like that up close and personal.

have a great night all - I hope to visit condos sometime today. I love these long hikes, but ya know all that you left in the morning is still here when you come back. :lol: :lol: and needs tending...

Hi Ella- most of this hike borders the snowsheds that they built over the tracks to protect the trains and rails from the avalanches etc that we are prone to here. This area is full on mountains, and most of the rails went through these mountains via tunnel after tunnel snowshed after snowshed - they had to blast these tunnels out of the mountains. Now most of the tunnels are falling apart - and access is closed, just too hazardous. anyways - rails to trails, no old ties, all rotted and long gone, which is too bad. This RR track was abandoned along time ago, and moved to a safer location.

I;m glad Mannie behaved for you while you were out hiking. Sounds like you had a great day. Mannie no diving tonight OK? I bet your MOm is tired. A nice blue surf would really be great.

232 @ +4 hmmmm - we seem to have a yellow surf tonight. Good I think, would prefer something lower, but not too bad considering yesterday's activity.

Hi Barb! I am too: glad he was good - I worry when I know I will be gone most of the day - needlessly once again - he seems to have done just fine! we didn't get the blue, but that's ok. And YES!!: his bean is tired...
