Yep, she decided she did NOT want a dosecrease after all. Good girl! I'm learning that she does seem to need a little longer to settle into her decreases...at least that's how it seems this week   .
Just got back from the vetty with Zen. Good news is that, although he has some plaque build up, he does not need a dental right away. It probably would be a good idea to do one soon, but at least it's not an emergency situation.
However, the tip of his tongue was a bit ulcerated. As a sufferer of pretty serious mouth ulcers myself, this is heart-wrenching - I know all too well how incredibly painful it is. The vet thinks he probably licked something, and he's on the healing side of it now. It makes sense that he's healing, because his symptoms are defintely not has noticable as they were a few days ago. As for him licking something...I'm a bit baffled. We have no plants in the house, and when I clean the bathrooms, I keep the doors closed until we use the shower, to make sure everything is thoroughly rinsed down. BUT, he is infamous for licking faucets and eating crap off the floor. There was one late night when we were on vacation that he seemed very distressed...he was wailing, and starting fights. I'm thinking maybe that's when this happened. I got out of bed and stayed up for a couple hours until he calmed dow. He can be a "drama queen" at times, so I just assumed he was feeling "attention starved" at the time, but maybe not. It will remain a mystery.
She did also say it's remotely possibly that it could be viral, or connected to his kidneys, so we did BW as well, just to check that out. In the meantime, he's on a couple meds. Woohoo.
Now I'm super-late for work...gotta get moving!
Have a great day, everyone!
