7/14 Muffin Lab Results

Muffin's lab results are in, and as I suspected, she's got pancreatitis again. So we'll do pepcid, pred and bupe. She's out and about today still, but her fur is pokier. She is eating, just a few bites at a time, but about half her breffis is gone so far. So that's pretty good. Haven't checked her BG yet today - will probably wait until tonight after the granddaughters are in bed. It's pretty loud around here on the weekends :lol: For those who are interested, her spec fPL came back at 4.5, which it seems to be every time I take her in for this. Not sure whether she just gets mild cases, or if I catch it quick enough before it gets into the full-blown pancreatitis numbers. Either way, I'm glad for her. She's actually sitting here eating right now, half of what was left in the bowl. Thank you everyone for your well-wishes and vines for her - I'm sure she'll be feeling fine in no time!

Shnookie went in today for his vaccines, and he was a very very good boy! Mama's so proud of him! :razz:
 
Hi Anne, sorry about the diagnosis, but you sure were on top of things and knowing Muffin so well, caught it right away. Sending healing vines to sweet Muffin. Glad she's eating.

Poor Muffin, but you are such a good bean to have caught it so early. I hope she can find a nice quiet spot to rest today. Paws crossed for a good BG test later.

Ann, It sounds like you caught it just in time! Muffin sounds like he's in great shape. I'm so glad he's eating and out and about! He should be better in no time.

pmbg 82 Now that's more like it! cat_pet_icon She's such a good sweet girl. Even after the pred (which she hates with a passion) and the bupe, she still came right back out to let me test her.

So sorry to hear about the pancreatitis flare, but Muffin will get though this one, too!! How is Schnookie's diet coming along?!?
