Good Morning LL!!
(YUM - the good stuff today!!!), and Happy Caturday!
I would like to say THANK YOU to all who visited Mannie on the day of his U/S. All those posts! I am so grateful to all of you, it all meant alot to me and Mannie. I thought I would post what I wrote again today for anyone who missed the findings. all in all - Mannie is Mannie, doing well, and one happy furry purry fuzz ball who is missing alot of belly fur...
US RESULTS: From yesterday: Hi everybody! Mannie passed! WOO HOO! There was no cranial mass, the shadow were apparently fatty tissue and the positioning of the aortic arch. His heart appears to be normal and it position normal within his chest cavity for a 15 year old cat. Pancreas was normal, Stomach was normal. Her opinion was that, based on BW and the Xray and what is now that he had some sort of obstruction that he has since passed - a hairball maybe. The intestinal track looks good. a few nodes, but they are fatty in nature and not of a concern. The liver is enlarged, expected dimensions for a diabetic. they did however find a mass on his liver. It is impossible to tell what exactly it is without an aspirate or surgery. There are three options in dealing with this: 1) aspirate, 2) followup U/S in 3/4 months to see if it has changed, 3) BW re-eval in 6 months to see the the liver values have changed. Right now they are all normal. I have opted to wait and see. I just can't see putting him though the anesthesia and the surgery on what is so much of an uncertainty. So there ya be: He was a good boy, and is ever so glad to be home! For now: THE NANNER KING IS FINE dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat

Yesterday was..... PINK day, with a few splashings of yellow. Part of me was very glad, in that he could go for his U/S and I didn't need to worry about falling BG or low numbers....
it's a safe, traveling appointment number. :?
PHEW! We are on day 7 of his Giardia treatment - I will be glad when t si completed. He continues to handle the butt washings well, and the meds. He isn't too happy still, but does let me do what we both know needs to be done. What a guy! I am grateful that he seems to understand that all this is to help him. You did great yesterday Mannie ! Now let's get down to business and do something about that BG. You on board? Knew you were.... Lubs ya bigf guy! cat_pet_icon
All is well in MannieLand. FOR SURE!!!
The kitty choir was on duty this morning - no way was Elsa letting me oversleep - she was very vocal and so into her role as the AM kitty choir. Mannie of course was nowhere to be seen...  I did find him sound asleep on top of his nanners... as it should be.
Yesterday was a good day for him - he did so well at the vetty place. I think he liked the vet that did his U/S. As did his bean. She was so personable, seemed to really care about what she was doing, genuinely interested in Mannie. She really listened to what I had to day, had all of Mannie's labs with her, kept giving him pets. Later on that day I found out from my vet that the vet that did his U/S takes in special needs kitties in her home. She has about 30 of them, and each kitty has their own small living space, set up to deal with whatever it is that they need. How wonderful to find someone who truly loves what they do. so very cool! This morning we had a great test, shoot and clean plate club (YAY), AND the auto feeder was ignored by Mannie, again  , and Elsa still thinks it has her name on it, yet again.... so I am back to running interception on the feeder.... Despite all that I will still say: Normalcy in MannieLand.
Have a great day everyone. I'm not too sure what will go down here today... I need to tend to things :? , but also would really like to go hiking
. well, we shall see what presents itself as the morning gets going.
Hey everybody! What's up??? What a party last night. I had such fun - I LUBS NY!!!! and...we almost ran out of hot dogs for Salem's party! It was close.... OK! So..... Moonie wants to chillax on the beach near her today -I think that is so cool! So off to the beach we go! Fun in the sun, lots of niptinis and kitty snacks. I'll bring the left-overs from the party too. See you guys! ~ Mannie
