Well, we seem to be coming down off the bounce to 335. Still have not seen any BG numbers in the 100's since going to 8 units, which is somewhat confusing. FINALLY able to get those bloodtests scheduled for next Monday at 1pm. I'm assuming he gets his shot as usual in the morning? And, based on the numbers so far this week, barring a miracle, we'll probably be looking at 8.5units that morning. Or maybe I should wait til Tuesday to increase? He hates to travel, hates the vet, and is always upset so his numbers are going to be wonky that day anyway. Any suggestions on what I should do on his Monday dose and when to increase to 8.5 units would be greatly appreciated. As always, thank you all so much for your support and advice!

Yes, you would dose as usual in the morning of blood work. Your call whether you want to do the increase in the AM or PM of Monday. Have you ever tried Feliway spray in his carrier? Or using Rescue Remedy for pets? It helped calm Neko down a bit for the vet visit. Though her BG often went lower at the vet. Her blood pressure went up.

I have tried Feliway in the house to no avail, but not in the carrier. I'll have to see if I can get Amazon to deliver before Monday. If not, Ill have it for next time. Never tried Rescue Remedy, actually have never heard of it. I think I'll increase on Tuesday morning, I don't like to do increases at night unless I know I can stay awake to monitor him, which with my schedule lately, is not a realistic expectation. Thanks again for your help! It is greatly appreciated.
