Yesterday's Condo
It has been a crazy morning! Things started with a phone call during my BTB time and interrupting Gabby snoozing with me. (Not so bad since had been up for AMPS and +1 already but after all, it's Sunday and it was BTB time!) While on the phone, Gabby was amusing herself in the cubes. I went to get her +2 meal and as I'm talking on the phone, the playing stops and a head pops out of the side of the cube with a very clear expression, "Food?" In the meantime, Gizmo is bathing himself in the middle of the hall, looks up at me, does a somersault in mid-air and goes charging into the living room. It was pretty funny!
I'm prepping food, put both bowls down, test Gabby, and go to put her in front of her food and who's there chowing down? Gizmo! He never does that. Gabby may shove him out of his bowl and swipe the last mouthful or two but Giz never steals her food! I guess he decided "Waste not, want not." and wanted to be the leader of the clean plate club x2 this morning. Gabby's expression spoke volumes. I don't know that I've ever seen her with a, "WTF!!!" expression.
And then there were the treats. Usually, Gizmo gets treats for using his scratching post while I'm making my coffee. I was running low on their usual Wellness jerky treats and have been using freeze dried chicken instead. Both cats really like FD chicken!! Gizmo, though, has decided that these treats are not to be wasted on using the scratching post. Instead, he sits on the dining room table and does his, "I'm cute." routine for treats. Gabby tends to ignore the entire 'I'll scratch for treats' routine in the AM. Not now. I swear that cat can hear the FD chicken treat container being opened. She was by my feet looking for her fair share. And this was all before my double espresso!
