Hi all! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday afternoon. Staying in today - It's raining here in central FL!

So, yesterday I started Bob on the new dry food (20% carbs compared to 18% carbs in the DM, but no grains and supposedly lower glycemic) and I upped his insulin .25. Ive seen nothing but pink!! No yellows, which I have been seeing a bit lately. Could it be NDW or the new food? Should I switch him back to the disgusting DM while I try to convert him to the wet? I just want him on a better quality food because there is always a chance he won't eat the wet. This cat be stressing me out!!!! angry(2)_cat

Ugh!

I'd wait a couple of cycles to see the effect of the new dose. My Neko always took a few cycles to get over NDW. Come on down Bob, nothing interesting in pinksville.

There are a few lower carb dry foods you could try while working on the transition to wet ie Innova Evo Cat & Kitten 8%, Wellness Core Grain-Free Original Formula (tan gold bag)11%, Nature's Variety Raw Instinct chicken 7%, and Young Again zero Carb 0%.

Do you have a day by day transition plan? Maybe PM deb and wink, I saw her give a plan to someone else ie something like this but not as drastic changes,,
day 1 - 1 cup dry and 1 tablespoon wet,
day 2 - 2/3 cup dry and 2 tablespoons wet and so on

Stinky Pinky days for you two mostly ALL WEEKEND!! I can't give you any advice or explain why........just offer you my equaled frustration!!!

what is going on with our cats!! we could have both gone away for the weekend.......as it looks like we did anyway!

I know...I know...I know....you and bob will turn soon......

you 2 will have your day

thanks for the explanation and assurance the other day in your post viewtopic.php?f=9&t=99812

it means so much when another feels the same as you.....makes you feel you are going down the right path....gives you strength in numbers....HIGH NUMBERS in our case!

great line of the week by the way:
I want the support of my vet, but I've read and researched enough to know that maybe they are correct in their belief that numbers in the 300's "aren't that bad", but I want better for my cat

well said Dara!
