+6 251.............His +6 is only 4 points down from +3. I know he ate a tiny bit of Friskies Mixed Grill right before I tested him (couldnt stop him, I was busy with a computer). I am just puzzled by his number in the past 18 hours. He was in the 300s all night and now he is staying in the 200s (which I know will go up later). Can someone explain to me what could be going on? Does it have to do with the new dose? Should we up it to 3.0? I am starting to get really frustrated. :?

Cats will sometimes get something called NDW or New Dose Wonkiness in which their BG seems to go up after a dose increase. It will settle down so it's just a matter of waiting it out. My Neko also sometimes gets NDW. It's very frustrating but for her I know I might have to wait about 5 cycles before I'll see any action from an increase. And sometimes none at all, because they are cats!

I think you've got some bouncing probably coupled with some New Dose Wonkiness: NDW

It can take 24 or more hours for the high numbers from NDW to come down and up to six cycles for a bounce to clear. Looks like he's trying to do one or the other today! :-D

I agree with Marje and Wendy -- bouncing and possibly NDW. Just be patient and let this clear. You can't expect every cycle to follow the rules all the time.

Actually, you can hardly expect anything at all. :lol: :lol: :lol: I do know how frustrating that is, Donna, so I'm not making light of your frustration. That's just how FD seems to work. You are doing a great job for your guy. :-D

ETA: Let me re-word that: We've tried to learn not to expect anything. :roll: And notice I said "tried". Sometimes we do better than others. :lol: :lol:

+9 243.................Sorry guys, didnt mean to sound like I was complaining. I just got a little frustrated I guess. After seeing the blues yesterday I was so happy. He is at least staying in the yellows at the moment. Thanks for all your advice and encouragement. I should know by now that things dont happen suddenly but we all want things to happen now.....lol. At least I can tell a difference with this new dose. Thank you again for everything!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

PMPS 324..............Caught Mr. Doogle trying to eat the fish I cooked tonight. Would have given him some but it was fried and I also had some baked in butter and greek seasoning. Did catch one of my youngest (Zoe, 1 1/2 old) eating the corn on the cob I made. She had eaten an entire cob (they were the tiny cobs from Green Giant) and half of another one. I am pretty sure it wont hurt her but she was eating it like a human would on a hot summer day. At least Doogle is always hungry by the time he gets his shot....just no talapia or cod for him.........lol
