Hmmm, well okay, Maggie is a little higher! No need to panic right! This is the Alpha Trak Meter (reads higher than human meter). Oh no, I just thought of something. I've been so sleep deprived and tired. I actually goofed and was so sleepy that I fed her earlier; I should have tested first on an empty stomach, so this may be why it is higher. I will test again in three hours though. I can't believe the hard time I am having pricking her and ear and getting a drop blood. She actually pulls away from me.

Exactly the right thing to do. I think Maggie is telling you she'd like to be done with all of the FD stuff!!

Okay, what a difference; no food for over two hours and her bg is 117. Next time I will have a big note next to her bed not to feed. Off to run some errands.

Remember a long time ago when you used to test before feeding? LOL...

Thanks everyone. I can't believe a PMPS of 99 bg. We hit a green. She is really feeling good and playful and seems to be doing even better since Sunday evening when we first started the trial.

These numbers are okay with the Alpha Trak, right, even though we are hitting mostly blues on the chart. The Alpha Trak reads higher.

Did you try measuring with the Relion too? I'm just asking cuz I know how much you love using both meters! And who knows how many more chances you'll have to get confusing double readings while she's on her trial??????!?!?! LOL!

Oh :lol: you won't believe this, but when I got the bg 99 it was all I could do to stop myself from using the Relion to see that reading. I was just about to change meters right before the trial, but with the trial I thought it best to keep the Alpha Trak since I have so much data on it! I may be tempted to use it, but I just have one day left here before I go out of town. I can still post Thursday's AMPS. What if she gets so stressed missing me that her bg's go up?
