After finally dropping down into blue last night and having a normal curve, we started the morning with a nice 271, and he dropped down to 96 at +6! I was SOOOOOO happy for this considering his high numbers lately.

I was hoping that he would have another beautiful curve this AM cycle and go back up slowly, but he spiked to 502 at +10. Wholly Bounce Batman!

What I find very strange, though, is that he then dropped from 502 to 458 at his PMPS. Wishful thinking on my part would be that he's clearing his bounce very quickly. Tonight's numbers will tell...

As Chippendale's pointed out in another thread, previously when Pumbaa was on 1.50U, he never did hit a green that I caught. He was only on 1.25U for three cycles, but maybe that shocked his body somehow?

As Mel had stated, Pumbaa is predictable in his unpredictableness. *LOL*

That 96 is solid mumbean! Congrats!
Pumbba , you can do it again & again & again!
Suze, Ive stopped questioning for longtime already. This makes me less confused about how & why our sugar babies are acting "not according to the book"!

Thank you, Helen. I get so excited when I see a green. *LOL*

I wish I was smart enough to not question and just say, "it is what it is"! *LOL*

Hey, Rosie is still doing good giving you much more regular greens. Now if only she and Pumbaa would stop with the bounces already...

Perhaps it cleared some cobwebs?

Yet again Pumbaa and Chip are surfing almost the same AM.

I wonder if both are down for the Friday night dive? This is Chip's 4th day on Levemir so anything is possible.

I'm already anticipating a dive, even though Pumbaa's numbers today don't give me any hint that a dive is coming. But then, neither did last Friday's numbers in the AM cycle.

I wish I had the brains to get enough sleep before Friday night.

If Chip dives tonight, I will bet that will make you very happy! Anything to break the cycle of high numbers!

Even though the difference looks significant because the numbers are higher numbers, they're well within meter tolerance (about 10% apart?).

To me, the climb to 500 looks like bounce, but possibly in part due to BIPO?
It was a green nadir, but not an overly deep or steep drop from AMPS. About the same amount of drop he got from the PM cycle the night before (which didn't seem to cause a bounce).

Hey Carl, I hope you are around tonight if there is some green diving.

Carl, you are correct, the 502 to 458 could be meter tolerance, but then he continued to drop slowly the rest of the night, which why I was hopeful that the 502 was the bounce, and that he was going to clear it quickly this time. Also, I had tested that 502 number twice, because I couldn't believe he climbed so high so quickly. First reading was 509, I believe, then new prick, new drop of blood, new strip and the second reading was 502.

And yes, I was also happy the the drop to blue the night before didn't cause a bounce, but the drop to green did. Unless the 502 was due to both the blues the night before AND the green. Sheesh. I wish Pumbaa had an onboard computer where I could just plug him in and get a diagnostic print-out from his liver and pancreas. *LOL*

Thank you again for introducing me to BIPO!

Hey Carl, I hope you are around tonight if there is some green diving.

I can be. I'm off the next two days.
I'm pretty sure the three of us pulled an all-night Pumbaa watch just about a month ago?

You missed the last two? Pumbaa is almost like clockwork.

Chip may be ready for something tonight.

At +12 he was still falling but since he was only mid-yellow I shot the full dose.

Day 4 of Levemir, a little different than Lantus. nailbite_smile

We sure did. *LOL*

Last night was the first time in 7 weeks where Pumbaa didn't play "Diver Dan" on Friday or Saturday night. Well, he might have, but I'm not sure since I was too pooped to test him at +6 or after +8. If I would have thought he was going to dive to dangerous levels after seeing his +3, I would have forced myself to chug a pot of coffee. :)
