After last nights flat pink and slight rise at +3 I decided it would be safe to crash for the night. Neko was the kitty alarm an hour early this morning, so now I feel bad about sleeping. Well, not really - I feel much better for getting more than 4 hours in a row. :-D But a bean sure could get used to two blue AMPS in a row :-D When we went to bed last night Neko was snuggled against my feet and when I woke up, Theo was snuggled against my feet. Not sure how that happened, probably not quietly, but I heard nothing. Neko was all purry when she woke me up early - she likes to flip up/claw the edge of our Turkish rug, as she knows it will get me up.

Neko was CPC as usual, made sure Theo was as well, then spent a bit of time on the deck grooming before coming in to part in front of the autofeeder. You just never know when that thing will go off early!

@Pip - your picture last night was very appropriate, for some reason Theo kept on wanting to get into whackfests and I had to separate them for a while before bed.

I'm not sure where Neko got last night, but it was at least blue. The major improvement I see is that she only bounced to pink (antijinx).

I did my first BG test outside on the lawn. Little miss is enjoying the weather so much she doesn't want to come in. Warm and a light breeze so not too hot. Great cat weather in the shade. She was "hiding" in her cave under the winter jasmine (hmm, yellow flowers) but came out as soon as she saw the test kit - well, maybe it was the treats. :lol:

Sorry about that +2 and +5, but at least Neko is going in the right direction!

I also do some test outside, once Daphne is out and its nice weather, like yours today I guess, not too hot, well, at least at 5:30 it's not, she will not come in.

Thanks for visiting us last night, I loved the pic of the kitty in the vines!

Hope Neko will come down soon.

testing outside sounds just lovely! neko must've gotten to some nice numbers during the night last night - great to see!

At least she held onto pink. After +9 I was worried we'd see that darker colour that hasn't been in her SS for a few days now.

@Barb - we might have seen yellow this afternoon, but I saw no reason to go crazy testing. Testing outside has so much better light than inside and Neko is so relaxed out there so it was a good experience for both. Sounds like Daphne is smart enough to come in for testing when she should.

@Julie - Neko must have gotten good numbers, but I didn't see them. :oops: It's hard to figure out when/if I should be taking her up again if I don't know where she went. Oh well, tonight is another cycle.

you're allowed to sleep, wendy - you can't possibly catch every one, so don't sweat it.

i'm a little surprised you haven't gotten any test results back yet, although friday is often typical for the acro test, usually the iaa comes back in just a couple of days after they get the sample. i'm assuming i haven't missed you reporting them, at least. i'm hoping for good news for the little girl!

At least I timed getting up right to catch this green! Neko was still lying on the kitchen counter where I left her 2.5 hrs ago. It's dark green, maybe she was getting inspiration from it.

@Julie - I probably have to bug the vet for results, rather than them calling me. I still haven't heard about the urine culture and I know they would have that back by now. For the iaa/acro, they sent the samples to a local vet lab who in turn send the blood to MSU, so it's a bit indirect. The vet lab specifies up to 10 business days. Also, my vet works Saturday to Tuesday and I'd rather talk to her than the vet who works the other days, so I was going to wait until Saturday to call.
