Good news!!!
Lucy is feeling better, and she ate today's breakfast really well!!!!! :-D
I'm trying not to be TOO excited about it because I don't want to be disappointed later.
Things can change back and forth within a day for Lucy.

I've already stopped Cypro, and so far it's looking as though she doesn't need Cerenia anymore either.
I'm still giving her Bupe, but only every 12 hours instead of 8 hours.

The only thing that hasn't improved is her diarrhea.
She had diarrhea twice already this morning, although she's on Metronidazole since Tuesday, which is odd because Metronidazole usually works faster.
I haven't given her probiotic yet because she doesn't like the taste of it and I didn't want to do anything that might stop her from eating, but since she's eating better now, I'm going to try Fortiflora from this evening.

I'm also going to see if the acupuncture vet has any opening for today. I know she's working today.
I didn't make an appointment because I wanted to wait and see if Lucy will be up for it, and I think she's feeling well enough for a short trip to the vet.
Since I didn't make an appointment, the vet might not have brought her acupuncture needles.
I'll call and check soon.

OT - Ginger didn't eat much last night, but she ate well this morning. She may not eat this evening since it's going to be a really hot day, so I gave her extra big breakfast.

I hope everyone is having a nice day.

Re: 7/12 Lucy AMPS=171;+2.5=212

I just called the vet.
I made an acupuncture appointment for 4:40pm today.

It seems lots of LL kitties are getting acupuncture these day.
I like it!

Re: 7/12 Lucy AMPS=171;+2.5=212

That's great Lucy and Ginger both ate this morning. Sending good vetty vines for the acupuncture appointment.

Re: 7/12 Lucy AMPS=171;+2.5=212

Thank goodness that both girls are eating, that's such a relief! Continuing to send appetite and anti-diarrhea vines. I hope Lucy has a good vet appt today, and that we get a break in this heatwave, since it seems to be affecting Ginger.

The acupuncture appointment went fine, but she's not eating again.
She ate so well and was feeling well this morning, but maybe I ruined it by taking her to the appointment.
Maybe I should have waited a couple more weeks until she's more stable, but I thought maybe acupuncture could help with her diarrhea.

She might be feeling slightly sick from the car ride, so I gave her a Cerenia injection.
Her BG was coming up without any food, and I didn't want her to go pink and feel sicker, so I shot.
I'm hoping she'll feel like eating in a couple of hours or so.

Ginger isn't eating so well either.
She only ate a few bites of her dinner.
They don't seem to be able to deal with heat as well as they used to.

I am so disappointed.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear Lucy's not eating again - I ope she isn't carsick, or sick of all this heat! Hopefully the cerenia will kick in soon and she will feel better. :YMHUG:

:YMHUG: sending eating vines to both of your kitties! and a big hug to you, mariko. i hope everyone is hungry in the morning.

sometimes responses from acupuncture aren't immediate. hang in there and maybe you'll see positive results tomorrow.

Sending lots of feel better and appy vines your way. It was REALLY hot today. Both your kitties are probably feeling the heat. Have you started up the fans yet?

It's great that you could get an acupuncture visit booked at the last minute. I hope Lucy sees results soon.

I'm so sorry both of your girls aren't eating tonight, but I suspect you're right about the heat. My girls were also not eating, and I blame the weather. It's interesting to note that after it got dark here and cooled off a lot, Minka came and ate the food she had rejected earlier! I hope you find that your girls are hungry in the morning when it's cooler, too.

Sending lots of good appy vines for both Lucy and Ginger, and hugs to their worried mamabean. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
