Morning all.

The parentals have left, and now we await the vet visit in a few hours. I gave her the liquid gabapentin she gets before vet visits, and of course she threw up within a couple of minutes because she hates it so much, so that's unfortunate. Poor girl has had a rough week.

It makes things so much better. And the vet has even commented on the fact that while Kit hates the vet in the moment, as soon as we're done with whatever needs done for the day, we set her back on the floor (we have her on the kitchen counter for claw trims and blood draws), and she immediately calms down and just glares at everyone. But no hissing, no growling, no running and hiding. And we love that for her.

I'm super happy to see she isn't higher after her vet appointment. Because she threw up right after her gaba, she wasn't as calm as she usually is, so getting blood, trimming claws, and then having to endure a shot did not make her happy. But she's happier now because the vet left, and the other interlopers have left as well. My fingers are crossed that the Solensia starts helping soon and that she's not one of the cats that needs a few shots for it to really start taking effect.
