He does react to food with interesting spikes. I was thinking maybe bounces, but it looks like the food. Have you notice a difference on different food?
 
He goes up more from friskies pate. He even had a for spike from young again mature zero dry food. To be fair, the few times I fed it to him as a meal he ate way too much.
When on prozinc he would go up or stop going down with just plain baked chicken breast. I always thought he was carb sensitive but since he's been on lantus he seems less reactive than before. I rarely used high carb food for steering on prozinc. Usually it was just friskies.
