7/11 Walter AMPS 411 PMPS 443

I see you're bouncing again Walter...my but you are in a hurry to get to that lagoon...but then you see what happens because you're in such a rush? The old bounceroo...

Zelda, what would you think of giving him a little higher carb food to snack on during the day so he doesn't do those low-low numbers? I'd sure love to see him stop with the big bounces...sometimes you can use food to steer them along - even some low yellows and high blues would be better than the low-low numbers which always result in those big bounces. Just something to think about...

Hi Sue —sorry for the delayed response. Yes—I like this idea. I tinkered doing this a few weeks back and his numbers went high but maybe I could pace it better —worth giving it a shot. Hope all is well in Michigan. I spent some time in
Ann Arbor many years ago.

I think the thing with Walter is that if you can persevere through his numbers going up/down, he will eventually level out. If you give him some extra carbs - like mixing a low carb with a medium carb - and he goes high, don't sweat it, just keep doing that in order to avoid the lows...the high numbers just mean his liver is working overtime to dump a lot of stored sugars into his blood stream...we need to try to encourage it to learn not to do that - because there's always a supply of 'sugar' ie carbs coming in...hope that makes sense...

We live just outside of Ann Arbor - and I've worked there for 40 years! Small world!! :)
