I'm back from my trip to Florida. My sister and I went down to try and take care of things with my cousin. It was an emotionally and physically exhausting trip, but also alot of good things happened. I learned that the Social Security office in Pensacola is so much easier to work with than the office in Atlanta. Everyone was so helpful and nice and didn't rush us. We were able to re-instate my cousin's Medicaid and SSI payments and we also found a group home that looks pretty good for her to move into. Things are coming into place! Thank you to everyone here in LL for your healing thoughts and prayers.

While I was gone, Simon pretty much surfed in the yellows for DH. He missed his mamabean as usual. He is still hanging out in the yellows and I fattened his dose a little today. Hopefully, he will be back down to prettier colors soon.

I hope to catch up on condos over the next couple of days.

So glad to hear you were able to sort out the Medicaid and a place for cuz to live - you've got to wonder what happens to the people that have no one to go into bat for them :evil:

Hi Georgia, I was thinking about you over the weekend and sending positive thoughts and prayers. That is wonderful news that both yoyr cousin's SSI and Medicaid were reinstated and you found a group home for her. What a relief for you and your sister. It makes so much easier with helpful employees getting thru the red tape. Thanks for your good wishes today. I did get Maggie's b/w back although it was late due to a fire in the Lab. I'll look it up and send it to you when I return from my appt. or sooner. I bet Simon really did miss his MomBean. :-D Have a nice day.

Hi guys .. I guess I missed the post with your cousin and her happenings .. But I am glad to hear everything is working out for all of you .. I'm sure simon missed you, you're his momma!! Hopefully with the extra juice he'll be back down in no time .. have a great day!

I'm glad to hear everything is starting to fall in place for you cousin...I'm sure that is very stressful for you!

Work that dosecrase, Simon...MamaBean is home now!

Welcome home Georgia! Sounds like it was a productive visit. Hope you are able to get some much needed rest tonight!

How wonderful and kind for you to take care of your cousin...but then you are a really special person.

It's wonderful to know that everything worked out for your cousin. What a huge achievement Georgia!
