Happy Fursday LL!

WCR: We are having major appy issues this morning. I can't decide if she's not feeling well, in general, or if she hates dasuquin and now her Turkey & Giblets is a tainted flavor?! I've chased her around with her bowl; I've added FortiFlora; I've added Purebites dust; I've begged; I've pleaded; I'm frustrated and concerned. We have played a few times this morning and she has been "energized" in her aggressive, killer kind of way. She's done lots of napping, but became quite excited when she smelled my blueberry pancakes from Shake 'n Steak....so I think she's hungry, but she won't eat her snack. I don't think she's running a fever, but at one point while I was petting her, I slid my hand down her tummy and she hissed at me and went in for the bite. Has anyone had problems with their cat not liking dasuquin?

Just got her +6 and feel much better. :YMSIGH: She just came over to the couch, sniffed her fuds (didn't eat), but she did crawl across my lap and curl up next to me. I have to run a few errands in a bit, but I'll let her get some snuggles before I piss her off again! I am determined to finish this stinkin' faux Roman Shade TODAY! (didn't have enough ribbon in the color that I wanted.)

Carla, thank you for the link to Marje's caliper condo. I guess I was using them correctly, but I just never felt like it was very accurate. I guess I should correct that statement: I just never felt like I was very accurate.

Wendy, I had a much better bubble(less) experience this morning. Pulled in a little extra air after the Lantus, thwapped a few times, and away went the bubbles. :-D

Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

I hope Shasta starts eating better for you soon. I use calipers for Furball and it is based on my judgement, but I feel the calipers give me a more consistent dose than the syringes. The markings on the syringes are way too off for me to not use calipers. It did take some getting used to when I first started.

Great set of numbers for Shasta today. I hope she got her appetite back. We use Cosequin here with no problem. It's supposed to be chicken and tuna flavoured, but I'll take their word for it.

And a follow on to yesterday's condo, welcome to the fabricoholics stash club.  You can never have enough. Good luck on that roman shade.

Oh good grief Shasta, you do not have to model Zener's appy issues. That worries your bean so. Paws crossed the fuds are delicious soon.

HI Jane, Carla, Wendy & Anne,

Oh goodness. What a day. She was a total pain in the butt this morning. Anne, I can't imagine Zener being such a pain with his appy issues...he just always seems so cute. I ended up throwing out about half of her breffis and most of her snack w/ dasuquin. She was very blah all morning and as soon as I decided to run my errands, THEN she wanted to be glued to my side.

When I got home (30 minutes later), she was in a better-ish mood, but still didn't feel great and then I had my clue...her breath STANK! Like butt (sorry for the TMI). So, I figured I would wait until tonight when she seemed a bit more mellow    and go in for the anal sac expression. :o I put on my jeans (learned that the hard way), checked her BG (+5), trimmed her nails (learned to do that first...the hard way) and then did my best to squeeze the tushie! I got a little out and I hope that makes her feel better (after she gets over feeling violated.)

As for her appy, it's been total night and day with her. She's eaten all of her fuds...and then some! We'll see how she does tomorrow morning with her dasuquin snack. Carla, I'll do a little practicing with the calipers tomorrow when I get back from the chiropractor.

Jane, I finally finished my faux Roman Shade. This project took me way too long, but I really like it. I have to fix it a little tomorrow before I can post pictures, but YAY...I'm done with that. Now, what should I make next?! Wendy, don't encourage me!!!!! :-D

Sorry I didn't make it around to many condos tonight. Hope everyone had a nice Fursday with happy kitties.

Hi Deborah - nice green dip for Shasta today

I smiled at the fabric hoarding comment - I've got about 10 big boxes of fabric in my garage from my mom; she used to be a big time quilter and teddy bear maker but had to get rid of the fabric to make room for my brother 7 years ago. Though I do some sewing, I don't do quilting and patchwork so I've hardly made a dent in it, but still I hope to find the right home for it all someday - can't just throw such pretty things out  !
