Other than the fur shot, Junior did good yesterday.

With the fur shot, I'm glad I didn't take him off insulin per the vets' instructions last week. Junior's eating more. It's still a challenge to get him to eat 3 cans of FF but at least he's getting them down. Before I couldn't get him to eat 2. Ear pokes are getting better. No more rice socks = faster pokes = happier kitty = no bites and scratches for momma bean (antijinx).

There's a huge storm blowing through Chicago now so I'll hit the gym later. I've been trying to train for the Chicago triathlon but my schedule has been so erratic that I'm afraid that I'm not going to be ready by end of August! Then again, I usually finish at the bottom 5% percentile...hopefully they won't be taking down the stands when I cross the finish line.

Did you see Libby's note the other day? I believe she suggested fattening Junior's dose. What do you think? It may help to get the pre-shot numbers down a bit (although, leave it to Junior to have a green pre-shot today!). I'd suggest thinking about it.

The storms look nasty on the weather map!!

Yes I saw Libby's note and I've been meaning to give him a fat shot. He must've known that his first fat shot was coming b/c that's when his PMPS was 86. Then he got a fur shot yesterday and then the rest of the cycles have been green.

If he starts getting 110+ a couple of times, I'll start giving him a fat shot. It looks like he's trying hard to get another decrease.

Very nice amps today Junior and I'm happy to hear you are no longer fighting the ear pokes, YAY!

I admire your will power and discipline I could never run a marathon. I have terrible endurance. It's pilates and yoga for me, the idea of running has me running :lol:

It is so nice to hear that Junior is settling into the pokies and you are scratch free. He has such pretty numbers.

Great to hear Jun's is getting easier to poke, and your poor scratched up arms must be thanking you too! Maybe Leo and Junior could trade appetites for a few days?

Awesome news about your triathlon ***2 thumbs up*** Plus it doesn't matter what time you finish, what matters is that you did it in the first place.....right?!?!

Lovely report today! Well, except for the nasty thunderstorm!! Finishing a triathalon is quite a feat... just stick to your training the best you can, and I'm sure you'll do just fine!! I've got to get my butt in gear and start training for something!! thinking maybe a 10K in October.

Hi Bonnie, wow a triathalon! I am in awe and wish you the best. We will all be your cheerleaders in spirit. Junior is looking really good today.
 
wow - it was nice to read that all is getting easier with Junior. YAY!!! That has to be a relief!

Sorry for the weather... I feel guilty with the sunny day we had today.
