Not the best numbers today, I feel like he is bouncing after being lower than he likes overnight last night.
I'm wondering if putting a bit of gravy on his 12am food would help to slow the drop to avoid the bounce or would it be better to try that at 8pm? He is fed every 4 hours but its hit an miss with how much he eats overnight and it is raw food so almost no carbs.

You do want to use food to flatten the curve. Diving can also trigger bouncing. When in the cycle is 12am and 8pm? You also want to feed more often that once in 4 hours. As he starts seeing more active cycles, you will get a better idea of where in the cycle you need to intervene with food/carbs. In bounce cycles, numbers are typically high and flat.

If you don't see green tomorrow, you are good for an increase on 7/13.

Normally you want to feed more and often in the first part of the cycle when the insulin action is strongest and if possible, not feed after the nadir. Some cats get stomach acid or hangry if there is a large gap between meals. In that case, it's okay to feed the lowest carb snack after the nadir.

Ok I'll give that a try, maybe give him a half portion at +8 overnight, he does tend to vomit if he is running on empty.
I appreciate all the information, thanks for taking the time!
