Happy Tuesday, LL! Zener is so creative, always coming up with new patterns and ways to surprise us. :mrgreen: Only the 3rd cycle of fattening the dose yesterday morning and we get a green AMPS. :mrgreen: I almost stalled then decided it was just too much trouble. :roll: :lol: :lol: I must be getting jaded!

The roofers are back next door and Zener is watching them out the window. He thinks they can't see him since he is crouching down. :lol: :lol:

I tested him at 58 at +1 but the strip didn't fill in one shot so I did it again and got the 63. I gave him a bit of cyprohexadine since his appy isn't great this morning and it looks like we will be busy.

Looks like a bounce beginning after the lovely greens last night and this morning. The big guy is doing fine with the roofers not bothering him much today. We closed up all the windows so not quite so loud. Tomorrow they start on our roof, so it will be a different story. :shock:

@Helen - Liz closed the blinds in her office where Zener is napping and he is very relaxed. Tomorrow they will be on our roof, so it could be more exciting! :roll:

@Devon - ah, I didn't know that crouching creates invisibility. I wonder if I can try that at work? :lol:

Liz is at our ER with a friend who developed cellulitis from a cat bite. Our friend took her cat to the emergency vet on Sunday after her cat had a brief seizure. Her cat went ballistic at the vet and she ended up with a pretty bad bite. Saw a nurse practitioner yesterday for pain, redness and swelling and was put on oral ABs. She was having red streaks up her arm this morning so went to the ER. She'll be there overnight for IV ABs. The cat is fine, no more seizures and nothing showed up in tests to indicate a problem.

Poo patrol was back on the job today. Detective Poo spotted suspicious "licking of the bum" behavior when the kitties came in from their morning constitutional.
Chief Inspector Crapdash did a thorough search of the favored spots in the backyard and success!

How awful for the friend with the cat bite. I've been bitten twice by Checkers, out of fear. It gets inflamed very fast!.
I hope she gets better quickly.

It looks like the fattened dose was just the thing. I hope the roofers don't upset him too much tomorrow, but of course they will. :evil:

So sorry for your friend and the cat bite, sounds bad,…hope the abs work fast.

A blue PMPS, not much in the up direction after the jump up @+6, we were expecting more of a bounce after all the nice greens and numbers in the 50s. :cool:

@Barb & Checkers - cat bites must get inflamed very quickly. Our friend dosed the puncture in hydrogen peroxide which is not recommended as a treatment immediately after a puncture as it is pretty strong and can damage tissue, so we hope that didn't cause the problem. She is in the hospital overnight and maybe tomorrow night too as they are worried about the cellulitis spreading into the bone in her hand. Amazing what such a tiny wound can turn into!

@Ann & Tess - we are very surprised to see this great response. This is the first time we have fattened a dose and it had an effect. We've tried fattening a dose a couple of times and ended up having to increase back up a full 0.25u, so woo hooo! Not only are the roofers coming tomorrow but so is our house cleaner and THE vacuum. ohmygod_smile

@Barb & Daphne - isn't he looking great today? :mrgreen: Our friend is on two different kinds of IV ABs tonight. Her hand has gotten a little bit worse, so it's a good thing she is right where she is, in the hospital! Liz is going to take some powerful medicine to her lately (and bring home some for us too)...frozen custard! :lol:

We shall see what surprises the mighty Z has in store for us tonight. As always, paws are crossed for a calm and drama free night for all!

@Amy - roofers tomorrow will be stripping the old roof off, then Thursday is the really loud day when they are putting the new shingles on. Our plan is to act as normal as possible and not try to make the kitties more anxious.

210 @ +5, so looks like testing is over for tonight.

@Roni - it was a beautiful day today and night cycle last night too. So, we can't be too surprised to see some yellows after that string of such beautiful numbers. We are expecting to see some stress from the roofers for the next two days, but thank goodness they don't work at night, so we can have some recovery time! :lol:
