Some excitement over not having the mail arrive Saturday resulted in a new meter (relion). It does take some getting used to, that's for sure. The thing beeped at me, so I thought it had enough blood and pulled it away, only to result in an error from not having enough. My freestyle never beeped unless it had enough, and we could always try again for a minute to get enough if the first try wasn't enough.

Anyway, Star is doing well today.

Glad to hear Star is doing well! It's definitely a good idea to have a back-up meter. A couple months ago, I accidentally broke Trixie's meter, but didn't know it until I woke up the following morning. I had no back up, and took the huge risk of shooting blind. It was very nerve-wracking, and I was at the pharmacy the second they opened, which was several hours after her shot. I quickly learned my lesson...I now have two back-ups!
 
Yah, I could see quickly developing preferences the more options you have. And the temptation to test with multiple meters at once to compare accuracy. Given the heavy emphasis on data here, we are all scientists, eh?
