Yesterday's Condo

Thank you to everyone that visited my late night condo. I am sitting in the waiting room at the dealership while my car is worked on, so thought I would get one in while everyone else is actually away! :lol: My car just hit 100,000 miles, so there is routine maintenance due. With all the vet bills, we didn't want to go to the expense of getting everything done at once, so we are starting with the ones that are most needed. Today's job should take 2.5-3 hours, but I have plenty of time as Sasha's session will take at least that long.

Mark is working from hope today, so he got Sasha in the car for me. He will test Cinco a couple times while I'm gone, too, so we can catch any lagoon hijinks a little sooner than I did yesterday. I really don't know what to expect from Cinco anymore. When I think he might drop, he stays flat, and when I think he will surf, he decides to take a dive! :roll: Oh well, I'm not going to complain about lovely, safe green numbers! Keep 'em coming!

Minka was still snuffly and wheezing this morning, but definitely is getting better. She was pretty feisty about her pills this morning, and by the time I got to the third one decided she was NOT going to swallow it! It took four tries, but I got it down her. She's usually amazingly good about pilling, but she's been getting a lot of them lately and I guess she's tired of it! If only I could make her understand that these things will make her feel better! (How often do we all say that?!)

Chris, I don't know if Cinco is going to make it to the lagoon or not today. Tell China to slow down a little so he can keep up with her!

I have nothing but time, so I'm going to see how many condos I can visit and catch up on what's going on with everyone else for a change.

I don't know...looks like he's rushing down there pretty quickly from here!!

Cinco...China loves your company, but you really don't have to run....she'll wait for you!!

Ugh on the car repairs....a necessary evil I guess but there's not much in life more boring than sitting in a car service waiting area watching the cars go up and down, up and down, up and down....LOL

Good to hear Minka is feeling better! Not being able to get the pills down her is a good sign that she's feeling good....but it sure makes it harder on us beans!!

I hope everything goes well with Sasha's treatment today. I'm glad Minka is doing better, but it is hard when they fight their pills. I hope Cinco didn't slide down too fast today.

Tricia, I have missed seeing your last few posts, I am so glad to see this one! I hope Cinco surfed safely for you today, that 2.5 looked like activity in the works! I hope Sasha's treatment went well, and hope Minka and Harvey are doing better as well! ( I am with Chris, there is nothing I hate more than sitting at the mechanic's :roll: ) but it has to be done with all the driving you will have to be doing.

p.s. that was a really neat story about your local Petsmart the other day; every so often you come across someone who goes above and beyond, and it warms the heart!

I hope everything went well with Sasha's treatment. Great news that Minka is better! :-D More vines for both of them. How is your toe?

Thanks for visiting, Carla, Liz, Ruth and Chris.

All went well at the dealership. Right as they finished, UCD called to say Sasha was ready to go home. Great timing! They said she did great. As usual, the student that brought her out talked about how sweet she was and how easy she was to deal with. They feed her after the treatment (I bring a can of food), and so far each time she's eaten almost the entire 3 oz can! Not surprising since she's been fasting since midnight.

Cinco surfed blue today. Very considerate of him. Sorry, China. I'm sure he didn't stand you up on purpose.

It was actually kind of nice to sit in the waiting room with no one needing my attention and just be able to write my condo and read others without distractions! I feel like I got a lot done.

Minka was sounding much better when I got home. Her nose was still running this morning, but it's dry now. :-D No wheezing, and you have to listen very closely to hear some snuffling. YAY!!! We'll keep the ABs going until the Clavamox runs out, just to make sure it's gone, but what a relief!

I sent an e-mail to Petsmart while I was waiting at the dealership, and I got a reply within a couple of hours. They appreciated my feedback. I'm a strong believer in letting someone know when you are happy with the service you receive. Too many times people only complain about problems. We need more compliments.

My foot is feeling amazingly well. Especially considering I really don't have time to sit with it up during the day. In fact, it's practically the only part of my body that doesn't hurt! The palms of my hands hurt from the pressure on them when I use the crutches. My shoulders are sore from using my arms to hoist myself up the stairs. My knees are bruised and sore from crawling and knee walking. My right foot hurts from bearing so much of my weight. I scraped up and bruised my shins when I tried to get over the retaining wall in my back yard to cut some roses (silly me!). My fingers are the worst - my arthritis was already bad, but the pressure on them when I use the crutches, and from holding the steering wheel for all this driving is making them extra painful. I tried to get in to see my rheumatologist for some cortisone shots, but she's out for two weeks. I was referred to my primary care doctor. He had one opening tomorrow at 8:30 am - no go, as I have to drop off Sasha between 9 & 10. His next appointment is Tuesday! No other doctors have openings before then. ARGH! So I'm just making do with the meds I have and trying not to think about it.

I hope everyone is having a great evening. I'm going to have an adult beverage and call it a night!
 
Nice day for Cinco! I'm glad Sasha did do well and Minka is on the mend.

Sending you tons of healing vines. I haven't been able to believe how much you've been doing since your surgery! You are a powerhouse. I hope you will find some time for yourself.
 
Mix up one of those adult beverages for me too Tricia!!

Maybe you could ask Cinco to go down to the shore with all the fixin's for S'Mores.....China loves those things! Might get her to come on into the shore to sit by the fire and roast marshmallows!

Glad to hear Minka is sounding so much better! Just took awhile for the AB's to kick in, I guess.

Hope you have a quiet night tonight too! I figured I've got another poke or two before I'll feel OK about calling it a night.
 
I am so glad to hear all the kitties and your toe are all doing so well...what a relief! I hope you're able to find some time to get some rest so the rest of your body can heal up....you really are doing so much these days and YOU need some recovery time so you can be there for the kitties!

Keep feeling good over there everyone!!!
