It has been vomit city around here. Last night civie Bitsy vomited in 4 places. Then drooler Mandy vomited in the living room (a huge pile). Then this morning Mandy vomited again in the bedroom and then civie Charlie threw up his breffis into the heating vent. ohmygod_smile I think Mandy got into something bad - we gave her forti-flora and rice with her breffis. Kitties? I was trying a new limited food source food on Bitsy - guess that didn't work. And Charlie - he just does this every few weeks. Looks like more vet visits.

Blackie was in the pinks all night until this mornings red. We did a dosecrease last night, but if he doesn't come down tonight, I might have to change his Lantus pen. It's only been 25 days, but I haven't had more than 28 on these pens anyway.

WCR: Blackie is feeling good despite his numbers. He wanted to go outside after breffis, but I wanted to go btb, so he had to stay in. He's snuggling with Bitsy right now. He was so cute last night when he met me in the yard when I came home. He got up and meowed his way to me. I had to drop stuff off and then put my car in the garage and he wanted to follow me. When I got back from the garage, he got in my lap and snuggled till shot time.

Wow...I am so sorry about the morning you had!~ what's going ON? If you have any doubt about the Lantus you might as well change it....so sorry for the red this morning. But, it IS a low red so maybe there will be some pinks ohmygod_smile later? Hate when you have a day where the pink is something you really really really want to see.... :YMSIGH:

what a messy morning you had, sorry about that. But Blackie's attention seeking story was sweet. don't you just love when they want snuggles?

While you've had throw up I've been scolding doodles for killing little birds ohmygod_smile I seriously have to move the bird feeders now. This is
ridiculous. She was meowing and sometimes she does that to look for me. So I called to her and let her know I was upstairs, that didn't stop it :YMSIGH:
So went downstairs to find her hunched over...thought it maybe a fur ball....NOPE she killed another bird and placed in by her dish ohmygod_smile
She's has never done this much hunting in her life!! Guesss it's the lantus :lol: :lol:

I'm thinking you might want to give the kitties who are in pukus mode a bit of Pepsid to see if it settles things down. I'm sure you were not a happy camper this morning! Sorry. (I have do admit, though -- I giggled at Charlie hurling into the heating duct. They do find ways to make our lives challenging, don't they?)

I wouldn't swap out your Lantus pen quite yet. Remember, it takes a cycle or two for the shed to fill at the new dose AND there's always the potential for NDW. You've already seen a good sized reduction during this cycle. Just give the new dose a little time.

ohmygod_smile on the vomit city - though I too laughed at the heat vent one... :-D , but sorry!

Mannie says reads are ugly and hopes that Blackie can find the blues again. He'd like to go surfing today with Blackie and the guys/gals...

First check at +6 was 217, but it was a tiny drop of blood and in my experience with my Contour meter, too small a drop and you can get an artificially low number. So I poked again, got a good drop and got a 278. Still yellow, though, so that's good. I guess I'll keep the pen.

I guess I should move the place where Charlie eats. This was the 2nd time he vomited in the vent and one of his pukus was down the wall and into the electrical socket. We still haven't used that socket. :mrgreen: Thanks, Sienne, for the pepcid suggestion. I will try that tonight.

Oh what a morning. Sounds like Blackie is on his way down and will be ready for the pool party tomorrow. Hang Tough!

well will you look at that! Blackie!! a 43???? Mannie would be so proud! oh boy Ele - could be a busy night for you! Hope you have coffee and gravy. :shock:
