7/1 Trixie AMBG 177 "+3.5" 67 PMBG 134...it was the kibbles!

Look at Mr P go....what a drop with no insulin on board! I was a bit worried when I saw Trix's AMBG this morning, but then I remembered....she had herself a nice little kibble raid last evening! I was doing stuff in the kitchen, DH was snoozing on the couch, Trix was supposedly snoozing on the back of the couch, and Zen's kibbles were on the floor. I took a peek into the family room a few minutes later, and there she was firmly planted in front of the kibble bowl :roll: :lol: ! I'm not completely sure how much she had, but she did make a noticeable dent in the bowl. So, that proves to me that she WILL eat all by herself without me holding the plate....she just won't do it for her healthier LC mush :roll: ! What a kitty....can't blame her for having a junk food binge when the beans weren't paying attention.

Her appy was a little slower to start this morning, so I did do one assist feeding. Since then, she has chowed down well enough. She just showed up for computer-time snuggles here, making sure I don't move too quickly (I was just about to go workout).

Another leisurely productive day is on tap....I could get used to this staycation business! Have a great day, LL!

Have you ever tried Stella & Chewy's? I just sprinkle one or two pieces on Max's lc and he eats it. If I don't put it on he sometimes will leave his food out until desperate. It took months to almost finish the 12 oz bag I bought.

Oh Trixie! I can't really say anything because I pig out on stuff that is bad for me every now and then. Look at that nice drop though. It was definitely the kibble. Enjoy your leisurely day!

I tried the Stella and Chewy's raw bites....she wanted nothing to do with it! Are you talking about a different Stella and Chewy's food that Max likes? Trix is funny....when she was really have issues with eating a month or so ago, I was putting a few kibbles on the edge of her LC mush and she was iffy on it, even though she's always loved a good kibble raid. She did sort of like the Orijen kibble (again, just a few on the edge of her plate), but she wasn't totally convinced. I tried grinding up the Orijen and sprinkling it on top of her LC mush...that was a total fail :roll: ! FortiFlora used to be like crack to her - I always knew a dusting would result in CPC, but now she won't touch the stuff. The p-titis really did something weird - psychological, physical, or both - to her appetite and thoughts about food.

It's not raw bites. I'm using the Chick Chick Chicken dinner. You could get a pouch to try and if she likes it then the bag which is much more economical. I've never tried the raw bites. Another thing I believe I mentioned was the Honeyville.com chicken or turkey. It's a big hit here and way cheaper than cat food.

Thanks, Elise...I'm going to check that out and see what she thinks!

We're off to dinner with my folks...DH's birthday is on Thursday, so this is our annual outing to our very favorite wood-burning oven "artisan" pizza place. Yum!!!

It's nice to see Trixie's numbers come back down after the kibble raid. It's good to know she will eat on her own if it's something she wants.

At least you know that there is something that Trixie will always eat!! I'm sure she enjoyed her raid.

well, of course Trixie can't turn down an opportunity to get in a little kibble raid when she can!!! glad she was able to bring herself down.
