Second BG curve accomplished today.
I think the numbers indicate she stays at 0.25U twice a day for now.

BTW, Would Sister's Nadir be 107 during this cycle?

Thanks

She has been kinda flat (if you consider meter variance) between +2 and +8. But yes, I would say her nadir is at +4 (or +5?)

Do you feed dry food?

Her numbers are very good, but I'm wondering what to do to give her a litle push into more greens

Yes, I feed dry Purina Pro Plan DM and Zero both, along with either fresh chicken or fresh salmon and Sheba Pate or Sheba chicken shreds. Sort of a buffet. 1/3 1/3 1/3. She continues to favor the crunchy stuff even though I enhance the wet with Nulo lickables and gravies. She licks them off. The transition to wet only is not going well. If I place Zero on top of the wet, she will leave it. She will hold out longer than I will.

Purina Pro Plan DM dry is high carb! Her numbers are very good if she's eating that. She might just become diet controlled it you take it out.

Zero is Young Again Zero?

Wet food with gravy is again usually MC or HC.

PPP DM was prescribed by Sister's new vet. It is a compromise for a dry food junkie.
Yes, Young Again Zero.
The gravy add-ons she gets amount to a teaspoon here or there. Also a compromise.

Any chance you can switch her completely to Young Again Zero? I won't be surprised if she goes off insulin and becomes diet controlled if you cut out the high carb food.

Absolutely. She likes the Zero as do all my cats who try to get some.

I was just initially guarded after reading about "not going too low carb too fast".

Yes. I think it would be better to phase out the PPP DM and the wet gravy over the next few days while getting some additional tests to see how low she goes on 0.25U with the food change.
