Your chart was interesting to look at. How did you decide to try no insulin without hitting the 40s? I am so new at this it is all so interesting.
 
Hi Carrie,

I reduced her dose based on this part of the protocol.

"When the cat regularly has its lowest BGs in the normal range of a healthy cat and stays under 100 mg/dl overall for at least one week, attempt to reduce the dose."

She stayed normal for more than 7 days before I reduced the dose. I always get lost in the fine print, there's a lot to read and remember!

ETA:
For a newly diagnosed kitty, they earn a reduction when they drop below 50.

Wow-I haven't seen you in SOOOO long! I was wondering what happened. I thought you stopped posting. Congrats on Magnolia. This is great to hear.
 
Thank you everyone! We are pretty excited! I hadn't realized that we celebrated on day 14! Tomorrow, hooray!

I did stop posting for a bit, I was traveling and life was ridiculously hectic. But we've been back for a few weeks now.
