It may be too early to increase the dose yet. There could still be rebound hormones like cortisol circulating from yesterday's low, so that's why the higher PS tonight. She got a pretty good drop today from the 400 preshot this morning, so I think it's safe to stay with .5U for now and let the rebound clear over the next 24 hours.

Plan is to hold the 0.50 for 5 days, minimum.

Vet suggested Cerenia (sp?) 8 mg every 3 days. thoughts?

Is she not eating well or vomiting. There is currently an excellent thread on Health about medication options for vomiting/nausea, although they are not the same thing. Laura has some excellent explanations about the meds she has used for Harley in this regard.

FYI, Lynda is an ex-Levemir user because Scruffy went OTJ on it several years ago. :smile:

She thinks it's a flare up of pancreatitis. According to the vet, they've found that Cerenia is also a good anti inflammatory.
