6 days no insulin!

My fingers are crossed. We are going into our 7th day with no insulin. I've been trying to closely monitor his carb intake as well. Im thinking Im going to cut his dry food (young again) to maybe a total of 1/8 c a day instead of 1/4 c a day.

I'd agree that if you can reduce and ultimately eliminate the dry, that would just take that variable out of the picture all together. Some cats do fine with the low carb dry, but some don't for whatever reason. RumpelT who recently went OTJ was back on insulin for a very short stint recently. It looked like low carb dry food was the culprit. I read somewhere that the dry food stays in the system longer than the wet, so the increased BG due to the carbs hangs on for longer.
