Yesterday he still had a half-moon halo of fluids under his skin. I'm going to have to reduce the subcues dose.

Last night, I gave the shot at 9 pm although the morning shot was late at 10 am. I stayed up with him until 1 am testing, and he stayed in the 400s. BG was rising at +3 and +4. So, I felt it was safe to go to bed. This morning he is acting fine. He went outside at +11 and came back with dusty feet meaning he used the great outdoor litter box. Then, this.

I'm going to take him to the vet, and get a test for pancreatitis and see if I feel I can trust them to put him under to clean his teeth.

Well, probably he got almost no insulin this morning as his +3 was still +600, but he's acting just fine. He is even more curious and nosey about what we are doing than usual -- running around the yard inspecting our yardwork. Now he's in the living room lounging on the sofa. I really didn't expect my cat to be so hard to treat.

With a fur shot, it's 'normal" for Max to have that ugly Hi reading. Be patient & get ready for the next shot to bring him back. Hugs!

Tortie, thank you for the hug. It is much needed. The horrible thing is that the fur shot was AFTER the HI reading this morning. Now, he's down to 461 at PMPS. I guess his bounce is clearing. He's been acting fine today, and even wandered around the yard and wanted to know what my husband was doing in the shed. That's been something he doesn't do much lately. He's well hydrated, and seems happy. He's lying next to me on the couch getting some petting.
