Last night the Libre was throwing out fake blues; for easy reference, Lite numbers are in (brackets)
  • PMPS 110 (83)
  • +1 111 (92)
  • +3 109 (77) - took a few mins to get the blood test in, so, I scanned the Libre again right after and got 86 lol
  • +9.3 100 - didn't bother doing a Lite test on this, it's probably fake but even if it's not, it's not terrible
This morning:
AMPS 92 - even though this is in the green, I thought I'd just confirm on the Lite, it came in at 79 so not so much of a divergence.

It really seems that with Cinna and this sensor, anything over 100 is suspect. Readings in the green tend to diverge a lot less. That all said, the trend reports produced by the Libre do average out some of these shenanigans and his data there looks pretty good.

Tomorrow is the last day for the Libre; we are going to put a new one on him ourselves hopefully. Pretty happy this first one has lasted as long as it has, my expectations for it staying on and working were pretty low.

I've heard of the Libre giving wonky lows but this is the first time I have heard of it reading higher. Do you even want to bother with another one? Gotten addicted to the data? :-)

They are cheaper to buy in 2s so I already have another. Haven't convinced DH to give it a try on himself but I would hope it's more accurate in humans.

I do like being able to just get a rough idea of where he is at just by scanning with my phone, and, I like seeing the overall trends. DH is dragging his heels on learning ear testing so at least I know he can scan and get some idea lol.

I'm also fine with ear testing on the important numbers; so as long as you learn the quirks of the Libre and are still prepared to ear test when it matters, it's a fun bit of kit to have.

The Libre has helped us a lot. I can scan her as much as possible. We never did well on ear sticks. I find that a Tshirt or onesie can keep her away from licking it and helps keep it on. Also it was suggested that we get a veterinary type glue for if it starts to curl at the corners. I believe there is Tic Tac and VetMed.

PMPS 108 Libre, 83 Lite
102 @ +1 - didn't bother confirming this
54 @ +1.5
73 @ +3

I suspect the truth of what happened at +1 and +1.5 is probably somewhere in the middle of those numbers. He does drop quickly from PMPS to +2 and the Libre doesn't do well when levels are changing quickly.

Hopefully don't get woken up for multiple snacks like last night.
