6/9/10 Meadow AMPS 378....what a mess

Well folks, as if missing the morning dose yesterday at 6am and then having to give it at 9am instead wasn't bad enough.....this morning I got held at work and didn't get home until almost 11am. So I had to make a decision....shoot her late AGAIN and go to a 11/11 cycle or just forget about the AM shot and go back to the 6/6 cycle tonight. I opted to skip and go back to 6am/6pm since that is really the only time frame that actually works for us. Thing is, she seemed to have a pretty good even day yesterday despite her numbers not getting out of the 200's.

So, I took her BG at 6am knowing she could not have a shot and was begging for breakfast. It was 378. She had her normal breakfast at that time. Took BG again at 11am and it was 351.
Just before I walked in the door at 11am, she had vomited up a hairball. Now she doesn't seem to even want a snack. Tested her urine and still no indication that ketones are present. Just took another BG and it's 383. :(

Not a mess, just a bit of a setback. Let the shed fill and you will be right back on track.
Apparently those hairballs can cause grief too!

It'll get better; just give Meadow a few more shots to be on track.
 
Life does have a way of getting in he way doesn't it? Gayle is right, it will all work out. Hang in there. :YMHUG:
 
Checked Meadow's PMPS. NO worries, it is to be expected with a missed shot. You will get there. ((((Hugs))) and scritches :YMHUG: cat_pet_icon
 
What you did was smart. If you didn't skip to adjust your time, you'd be driving yourself crazy. Meadow's numbers will come back down.
