Are they litter mates?
That's amazing about Alice running into your house. And you kept all of Ravan's litter mates, too. I guess they still lived to be fairly old (the other four)? Not everyone is so lucky to have their cats live to 19 (I've never had one make it that far yet... 16 is my maximum, unfortunately.) Blessings and Best Wishes for their birthday today! No they were both stray babies. Alice was in my back yard with several adult cats hunting rabbits. I opened the door to chase them out of my yard & she ran into the house! She was very tiny maybe 5 weeks old.
Ravan was born in my garage & had 4 litter mates. They were only a week old when the Feral mother was hit by a car. I kept them all & hand fed them. They all must of had bad genes from the mother. Over the the last 4 years one died of Heart disease, then 2 more of cancer, another of un known cause.
Ravan has diabetes, kidney disease, high blood pressure & has Seizures. I'm amazed he lasted for 19 yrs!
I celebrate both their birthdays on the day Ravan was born.
Thank you for the Birthday wishes! It is a very Happy day for me!

Not everyone is so lucky to have their cats live to 19
WOW! I love this story!Years ago My kitty Daisy got cancer in her toe. She was 20 yrs old. The vet said If he removed her toe she might survive. I sat in his clinic all day waiting for her. She did GREAT! Daisy lived for a bit over 4 more years to be " 24 "!!
Her & I fell asleep one afternoon & when I woke an hour later she had died peacefully laying against me.
Many of the cats I've had lived to be 20 & over. Daisy was the oldest

, many more !♥
Hope your day was purrfect.
