I thought maybe i shouldn't wait until noon to get Tommys condo up and running  .
DH left at 5:30 this morning to head to a meeting 2 1/2hrs away  .Won't be home until late tonight, so it's just me and babies today.
Tommy already has some much better numbers to start the day off much to my pleasure.
Charlie did get up in the middle of the night on his own and asked to go out and go potty #1&#2 :-D , and then my husband said he just wanted to walk around a little bit and sniff the ground to see what creatures had been roaming about in the middle of the night. He's still not like he was last week, but I remain hopeful that we can get him healed so he can get up and down on his own more freely!

I think i'm going BTB for just a little while as i have been up since DH got up and the past few days have been anything but relaxing. Thank you all again for the continued good thoughts for us. I miss you all very much.
Hugs :YMHUG:

Re: 6/8 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318

mmmm, back to bed is such a nice way to start the day. i'm debating on if i should throw on clothes and go get a donut for breakfast. me and punkin nom nom nom! my husband's going to take the car today so i'll basically be stuck at home, but don't have anything i need to do anyway.

tommy's looking good this morning - a lot of time when punkin is over 300 amps he comes down mid-cycle. i hope tommy will pop down a little today! glad to hear charlie's moving a bit.

have a nice morning!

Re: 6/8 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318

Hi Squirrel, I still can't get used to calling you Lauren. Thinking good thoughts for Charlie and nice that he wanted to stay outside and see sightings of other creatures. You deserve a btd after all you've been thru lately. Give Tommy some scritches from us and hope things get better.

Re: 6/8 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318

Charlie being interested in exploring a little is a good sign that he's feeling better!!!! And Tommy's numbers are looking pretty darn good!! Way to go Tommy!!

Hope your day continues to be a good one. You need some good days to get over the last few, for sure!! :-D

Re: 6/8 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318

:YMHUG: back at ya!

Great news about your Charlie, hope that leg gets all better and he gets back to doggy business. Tommy is looking good too.

Have a great day sans DH!

Re: 6/8 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78

So jealous of your btb!! Hope you enjoyed it for both of us!

I am so glad your Charlie is getting around better. It is so heart breaking when they can't. Of course he needed to go out and make sure all scents were accounted for. That is a very important job that only a trusty steed can do! I hope he gets better and better!

What a good day to be stuck at home with the fur babies. Have I mentioned I am jealous? Have a wonderful day Lauren!

Re: 6/8 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78

ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile .. So that's what a little sleep feels like. I wake up after a couple of hours to Charlie needing to go out and My boy hitting the cellar  Whoooooaaa!! Tommy...
Julie: I can't tell you the last time I went BTB after getting up. I'm one of those people that when I'm up, I'm up to stay, but this morning my body was telling me otherwise I-) . A donut sounds delicious but since I haven't one here either I will have to do with the Chocolate fudge cake I made yesterday for both our birthdays with just a little frosting on it ;-) . Not home made but oh soooooooo good :-D

Ann: don't even worry about it. I respond to Squirrel just as well as Lauren. Please continue to call me Squirrel, I rather like the nickname! I will definitely give Tommy some scritches from you. Charlie wanted to check things out again just now when I let him out too although he can't stand for any length of time, he's trying.

Patty: I thought that too when he wanted to walk around for a bit. It sure did make me feel better as well.
Tommy's come down a bit more than I would like, but we'll get the breaks put on..

Tracy: Getting back to doggy business :-D :-D , I sure like the sound of that. Please forgive my stooooopidness ohmygod_smile , but what does sans mean when you said "have a great day sans DH"

Melissa, I think you may have mentioned you were jealous  . It is very heartbreaking to see him like this when he was doing so well just a month ago.. I went through this with my Shepherd about 4-5yrs ago, when she lost her hearing and lost complete use of her back legs and we helped her around with a sling wrap for a couple of years until the day she told me it was time  . So this is too de ja vu for me and at times I break down, but i try not to let Charlie see the pain in my eyes. I just want his QOL to be the best it can for as long as he's here.. I think that's what any of us want for our babies.
Yeah, I'm not stuck at home, in fact I think I might be heading to Wal Mart in a little while to grab some things.
I hope that all of you are having a great Hump day!!

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78

Lookit Tommy's green drop!!! WOW!! He's doing so well!
I so understand, as I have had 3 arthritic animals now including Moonie--It does hurt to see them struggle, but I have it too..some days good some days bad..Moonie has arthritic knee and neuropathy in her other leg from the FD--One day I will send a video how a cat walks on their hocks from neuropathy and floating kneecap...But Moonie gets around pretty well for 15 & can still jump on where she wants to go.
Rainy days & humid are always the worst for me & her...
I give her Dasuquin, which is the next from the Cosequin, and they do have it for dogs--I think it's great & I gave it to both of them..Check it out on line, it helped Moonie..
Sending Charlie good walking vines & prayers for his leggy to heal--Hugs from us!

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78

:o on Tommys drop!

Sans just means without. So have a great day without the DH!

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78, +6 49

Looks like someone is looking for a permanent dose reduction.. Geeeeeeez... will I ever get this right?
I hope that I can get this to stop.. I just gave him 1tbsp of HC along with 1/2tsp of Karo.

Roni, thank you for the information, I will check it out. I wanted to try Bupe for him, but the amt he would need, we just can't afford the price  . Thank you so much for the prayers and the healing vines

Tracy, any day with out My husband around is not a good day.. I guess we're wierd like that.. After 10yrs. for some reason we still just want to spend our free time being together.. Go figure huh! Thank you for splainin, I was feeling really ohmygod_smile that i couldn't figure that out..
I need to check on the boys numbers again.. We have to stop this drop and NOW!!!

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78, +6 49, +6.5 82

Sheesh, I just saw this...Tommy, you really don't need to be that dramatic! Nice job getting him up, Lauren. Now I'll go back and read the thread....

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78, +6 49, +6.5 82

good job managing the kitter! woo-hoo!

that's sweet you and DH still like to be together! makes me think of that song "you're still the one" - love that one.

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78, +6 49, +6.5 82

Oh yeah, the part about will you ever get it right? I don't know what you think you did wrong...I see Tommy diving on you, and you bringing him back up....looks like you handled it just fine! :-D

You certainly have had a lot going on the last several days, you must be exhausted. I'm glad to hear that Charlie seems to be feeling better, I hope he continues to improve. Sending healing vines and positive thoughts for Charlie.

Wow on the baby bluebirds! We had a pair nest in one of our bluebird houses (that the house sparrows insist on taking over! ) several years ago, and when the babies fledged, they stayed on the ground for a few days before they started flying. They actually hopped over to a bush and climbed up into it, and the parents fed them there until they started flying....definitely vulnerable to predators! I knew where they were, because papa bluebird would divebomb us anytime we got within 20 ft of one of the babies! Good for you, watching out for them...sorry that they didn't all make it, but you likely saved that one anyway! They are beautiful, aren't they?

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328, +1 318,+5 78, +6 49, +6.5 82

WoW! Talk about steering a runaway kitty  . Awesome job.

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328,+1 318,+5 78,+6 49,+6.5 82,+8 90,+11

Nice job handling Tommy's numbers today. Looks like Tommy needs a dosecrease.

What are you thinking, 0.25 or 0.5? He's still bouncy but he has been hitting green every 3-4 cycles, which is really good. Going with the 0.25 reduction might help hold the bounces down, but a 0.5 reduction is more likely to keep him out of green. Either way is good for me.

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328,+1 318,+5 78,+6 49,+6.5 82,+8 90,+11

smooodgy?

i guess tommy did come down a little bit mid-cycle. he's been reading your condo again!

Re: 6/7 Tommy AMPS 328,+1 318,+5 78,+6 49,+6.5 82,+8 90,+11

No kiddin Tommy was reading the condo today, he really wanted to make his momma happy today.....what a good boy!
And that Julie with her crystal ball predictions again......how did she know this would happen?

Congrats on the dose reduction!

I really  at your mouse comment in Leo's thread, but I'm seriously going to google it later!!

How cute you and the DH are still in love after 10 years.....

Have a great evening.

How does any one ever dose correctly when it's .25 anything   . I just gave Tommy his first dose @ 10.75u.. All I know is it wasn't 11 and it wasn't 10.5.. Do they make a needle in 1/4 increments?
I'm pretty pleased with the pm number.

Laurie ,frustration speaking again is all that was.. I just would really like to find a dose that would keep him somewhat flat throughout his cycles. It seems that i keep giving him too much or not enough.. I know it might never happen with Tommy I just keep hoping that the bouncing would some day stop or not be so dramatic. Thank you for telling me I handled it well.. Once again, I've got really really good teachers here :-D
I'm not too fond of sparrows either when it comes to the bluebird nest. They aren't very nice are they!
The reason DH and I kept putting them back in the nest is because we have a couple of stray cats around and I knew they would have a better chance if I just kept putting them back in until they could fly..And yes Eastern Bluebirds are absolutely beautiful. I have a few photographs of them I must post..

Bev, You nailed it.. I thought for sure I had a runaway kitty on my hands..Good think I know how to drive  . Thanks for the kudos :-D

Libby, as you can see I decided to go with the .25 reduction this time. I've gone up and down .5 and it just seems like 11 is too much and 10.5 is not enough. So i'm going to hold this for a bit and let it settle in and see where he wants to take me..

Julie: Heck yeah Smoooooodgy that adorable little face of his!

Tracy, thanks on the dose decrease congrats.. I hope this works for him. He sure did make me happy today, but he didnt' need to jump off the high dive to do it..
In love.... maybe not all the time but still just want to be together... kind of icky, mushy huh!

CONGRATS ON THE DOSECREASE!!!!! WOOOOOTTT!!!! Great job controlling that dive today, Lauren!!!

Glad you got some BTB and I'm so glad Charlie got up. Sending you big hugs!!!
