Good Morning LL Friends,

Here's yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=44929

This morning, Tessie is still in the beautiful BLUES. Since last night, she has been acting a bit "put out" with me, due to the extra pokes required with her low #s.
She also seems quite tired, although breffis was devoured as usual. After one week on antibiotics for the growth on her belly, I can see no change at all. I put a call in to the vet to discuss the growth, the biopsy, etc. and hopefully it won't take all day to get a call back. Although she's been out of town, so I imagine her messages are sky high on her desk.

Question: Does anyone out there know if cancer lowers blood sugar?

I'll post later, after I have my conversation with Dr. Kris.

Have a great day everyone, and if you're in this heat wave, I hope you can stay inside! We hit 100 here in Iowa yesterday. It is making it twice as hard for the poor folks who are filling and placing sandbags to shore up the levees. Yes, we're anxiously watching the Missouri River here and hoping our levees hold. Think good thoughts for us, please!

I can't believe it's hotter in Iowa than Las Vegas!! Goodness. 'We're barely in the 90's and have no humidity so it's actually really nice. Good thoughts going out to all of you that your levees hold!!

Tessie Lou is looking FABULOUS!!! Keeping it going, Tessie Lou!!

Have a great day!!! :-D

Good job Tessie Lou! keep those wonderful numbers coming. :-D :-D

No clue on BG numbers and cancer. I do hope that you hear back from your vet. I am sure it would be nice to get that resolved, and tested so that you know one way or another. Good luck !!

100?? I can't imagine such heat. omg. I hope all goes well with your leeves and the Missouri River. That made our local news last night. We are thinking positive thoughts.

We too are in the 100 area in Oklahoma, but we are more used to it than Iowa. I was born and raised in Iowa and 100 degrees there seems like about 1000 here due to your humidity. Good thoughts for your levees! All of my family is in central Iowa, so they are not as affected by the rivers. My husbands family, however, is from NW Iowa.

After those beautiful numbers last night, I imagine Tessie is tired! Hopefully she has a cool restful day!

Hi Melissa, I hope you hear from your Vet soon. There's nothing worse than waiting for a call that you really need information. and are anxious to hear. Positive thoughts that Tessi Lou's results are benign. I'm not sure either if cancer lowers the bg. So sorry about your heat. We're not too bad here, but it will be our turn in no time. Hang in there and keep us posted when you hear anything from the Vet.

Hi Patty, yea, that IS weird! Of course, the weather is weird everywhere anymore!

Hi Michelle, thanks, we'll hope the low trend is a good thing, not a bad one.

Melissa, yes, if you're an Iowa girl, you know just how miserable it gets outside. Glad your family is safe, but if your husband's family is in NW Iowa, they must be a bit nervous right now. Everyone we know is watching the news closely, and my stepson and his wife are packed and ready to get out. They are about 1/4 mile from the levy. Their biggest problem is 4 dogs, 2 cats, and an African Grey parrot.

Thanks Ann, there's almost nothing worse than the waiting. Once you have the information, you can feel more empowered. Hopefully, I'll hear soon.

Thanks for the well wishes, guys--I'll post an update when I know more...
