Sweetie is doing pretty well at this dose; the yellows have been in the lower range, and he's been able to maintain without dropping below 50 for 5 days so far with lots of blues and greens mid-cycle. I like this morning's blue start!

I'm using a strategy of getting a +11 (or +11.5 or so) test in so that I can tell if he is rising, falling, or surfing at shot time. And then I adjust his mini-meal schedule accordingly: every hour if falling, every 2 hours if rising. That way I can take full advantage of his sensitivity to the carbs in his regular food to coax his BGs to be as flat as possible.

That's a nice blue today for Sweetie! I hope he slides on down for you today. He's sure good at sliding down in the pm and then has his little bounce in the am! Sweetie, maybe you want to turn those cycles around?

Thanks for the visits Lyresa and Mary! Yes, Sweetie does like his sunny mornings - he's at the top of the blues at +2. I hope the Lantus kicks his butt down to safe greens soon :lol:

Now to make some more raspberry jam - my berry patch is overflowing! I made the cooked variety last night; tonight I'm trying out a freezer jam recipe.

Liz, I'd share with you if I could; love the pic Josie!

Love the flavor of the freezer jam; it has 1/2 the sugar of the other and isn't cooked. But it doesn't have the thickness of the other even though the pectin I used is supposed to work for freezer jams; at least not yet.
