Morning LL ~O) yes its been quite a while since we opened a condo but wanted to give a bit of a Do Lou update :-D Not much new happening here he is still as itchy as ever we are doing sulfur dips every other week and its really helped heal his skin but he still is having to wear the soft blue e collar most of time or he goes after his belly and even though he is so used to it I hate him in this thing  so I am off to the vet in about a hour to pick up atarax a antihistimaine to try for him to see if this can slow down these darn allergies they are by far the worst this year then last year. Otherwise we are plugging along all p's in place he is a happy purry guy and eating well. Kittens are getting big the boys are 12 weeks old now and lil Red Ferne Cricket is 11 weeks she will be staying with us to show. My middle son who had to move back home last Dec finally got into his new home a couple of weeks ago  Guess thats about all for now I do think of my LL family daily even though I am not here daily ( I do lurk once a day  ) healing vines to all kitties in need

Hi guys .. nice to see a condo from you! Sounds like things are going smooth at your place .. hope the new meds help do lou with his allergies .. at least he is used to the collar now .. congrats to your son on his new home! Have a great day!

So great to hear from the Do Lou! It's funny how those kittens grow so fast and they are so darn cute too! ;-)

Liz gave a beep beep of her horn to the Do Lou as she drove through KY on her way to IL!

Nice to see DL got a decrease and still some greens show up.

I hope the new antihistimine workd. Have you tried baby t-shirts to cover his tummy? Or does he just work them off/

Good to hear from you and Do Lou. I hope the antihistamine helps the itchiness. Tillie is itchy sometimes too and it's no fun.
Liz

Hi Lisa, it's good to hear from you....and Do Lou, of course :-D I'm sorry his itchies are still bothering him. I sure hope the new antihistamine helps. Poor baby.

Sorry to hear about the itchies. Here's what my vet recommended last year when Gabby nearly licked her belly bare:

There are several options—there is a product called Allerderm which is applied once weekly to the skin which can be quite helpful for itchy or dry skin. Additional fish oil omega-3 fatty acids, 200-250 mg daily, are often helpful, but may take up to 2 weeks to really have an effect. Antihistamines are often helpful—we seem to have the best success with Zyrtec, which is over-the-counter, or hydroxyzine which is a prescription medication.

We have Allerderm here, but you may be able to order it online. Zyrtec dosage is ½ of a 10 mg tablet by mouth (in food…) twice daily, or about every 12 hours, try for 7 days. Watch for drowsiness or restlessness, although side effects from Zyrtec are not likely or are very mild. Use plain Zyrtec, or cetirizine, only—no combo meds. The fish oil product we use is AllerG3, or you can use human products.

I love seeing the Do Lou and kitten photos on FB. The kittens are adorable. Gotta love the ears!!
