The good news these days is that Pete is spending a lot of time in blues.
The bad news is that I've been stuck at the same dose not knowing if it's the right one for a while and part of it is because I keep having partial fur shots and I honestly do not understand how it's happening. I know how to use needles, I administer lots of sub-q fluids and vaccines with our rescue, I am going straight into his scruff where I'm confident I have a good tent of skin...and then I smell the insulin and brush him and find some fluid in his coat. It's driving me nuts. I guess I'll watch some YouTube videos and try a different technique. I don't know. I really don't understand how it's missing.
He's had some bounces and then went really low (51) the other night so I think I'm just sticking with this dose for now. But if anyone has a moment to look at his chart and tell me if you think I should be doing something differently (besides the obvious...actually giving him his insulin dose properly lol) I'd appreciate it!
