So it looks like the canine that I've been worried about because it's been red and swollen around the gum fell out. Is this ok? Will the gum just heal up now or could there still be infection?

I’d want to have the vet look at it to make sure since it was red. Max lost most of his teeth but I never knew when.

Red and swollen could still mean issues with the gums, like an infection. I second the idea to get a vet to look at it. Some kitties have difficulties recovering from a removed molar. It's a big hole!
