DH got a 130 when he tested him at +7. Does this mean I need to do anything (such as stop the trial) or do we look for more info later in the day? I'm at tbp but will be home later :smile:

There are many things including even meter readings that could throw you a highish number, when was the last food, little noise causing stress, etc. What about if he tests again at +8 or something? He could well get a number much lower. Their numbers wobble through the day so it could be just when that test was taken.
Fingers crossed for a better number on next test.

I know it's almost time for his PMBG now, but if Simon got food at that +7 and then y'all were able to get a +8 or +9 and it was lower than the 130, then you know his pancreas is working it. I know he doesn't usually eat until 4 in the afternoon, but you end up feeding him at different times if you get a high number and want to check.
During Atticus' trial, he gave me a 112 AMBG, which was very high for him at that time, and I staved off panic, but four hours later he was at a 51!
We are all rooting for Simon here! I told Kenneth (my bf, who met him a few times when he stayed), and he's excited, too.
Come on, Simey! Show us some more green!

So. +9/108 and PMBG 117. I feel more stressed than on insulin! I assume that his shed is draining and now he's just rising, rising, rising. . . .

Normal range for most cats is 50-120 so Simon looks good! Don't panic.

Kim! By the power vested in me by the State of Texas, I order you to chill! Maybe he'll finish this trial out, or maybe a successful trial is a few more weeks away- it's too soon to tell. And both are okay anyway, right? Remember he's a cat! And they get their kicks by throwing us off!
Don't forget to breathe. I am thinking of you guys and beaming hope and love up Central Expwy towards y'all.

Oh gosh Kim, I know how you are feeling. We just did a mini (2 day, weekend) trial, and we were so encouraged with a lower number the first day, compared to when she was on insulin the day before, so I figured it would be ok… anyway, I put her back on the 1 drop, she went up both AM and PM to the 150's. Simon's SS looks a lot like Daphne's did, only we didn't get the lower AMPS numbers you do. I wish you a ton of luck and I'll send some OTJ vines to Simon for a green number next test!
