Hi everyone!
I'm planning on taking Nao to the vet for a dental cleaning, but first I need to get some pre-dental bloodwork done. I'm thinking of bringing him to the vet tomorrow to get those tests done. He needs to be fasting, so tonight I'll give him food until midnight.

Now, my question is, should I give him his shot at regular time? His shots are always 8 AM/8 PM, and the vet appointment is at 9 AM. So if I give him the shot at 8 AM, he won't be eating until 9:30 AM more or less, would that be okay?
I'd rather not give him the shot later in the morning because that would mess up all the schedule, and the other option would be to skip, but I don't know...

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Will he be done at the vet by 9:30am? You could give his AM shot at 8:30am and feed at 9:30 which would be +1 and hopefully before onset. By shooting at 8:30am, you can still shoot at 8pm tomorrow night.

Take some food with you to the vet that he likes and will eat - even if it's higher carb.

Good luck with the appointment! :)

That's what I'm hoping for. They are usually fast and they will only be taking some blood samples and then we can go home.

I don't know why I didn't thought of that, lol. That does sound like a plan!
And yes, I will be taking some food with me. Thank you, Bhooma. :bighug:

Update: I won't be taking Nao to the vet tomorrow but Thursday instead. His vet told me she will arrive later tomorrow and to not mess with insulin time and all that, we decided to move the appt for Thursday. :)
