Here you go LL:

PMBG 121
+2.5 = 95
+5 = 83
AMBG 104

Did he pass? Did he... did he? They didn't finish their food by the time I got home, so the 121 could be a bit of a food spike. I fed him 1/4 can FF after the PMBG reading, by +2.5 he was meowing for food (moooooommmmmmm hungry....), so took another reading and fed him another 1/4 can , they were all hungry again at +5, tested then left out about another 1/2 can each for the night. AMBG is blue but oh so close to 100.

He was a happy purring kitty the whole night. DH goes to martial arts practise on a Thursday, he usually gets home and leaves his kit and belt in the laundry. Went to find Max attacking the belt and dragging it all over the house....too cute

So can I officially call this Day 2 of trial? I feel physically sick now everytime I'm waiting for the meter to count down to the number...Please little pancreas...work!

Do I keep doing spot checks throughout this time with no shots?

Okay LL, gimme the lowdown...I can take it nailbite_smile (THUD..passes out)

You only need to test at AMPS and PMPS. If the number is out of the normal range, test approx. 3 hrs after you feed to see if Max's pancreas has kicked in. And yes, it's Day 2!!

can you try feeding a small meal at about +9 each cycle? If his pancreas is on the job, that should help bring those numbers down. You want to feed multiple small meals spread throughout the day the best you can. Small meals are less overwhelming to a newly functioning pancreas.

Just want to tell you I think Max is super cute and I enjoyed reading his profile on how you chose him and how you ended up with his entire litter! (you're lucky there were only 3)
Congrats on day 2.

Looks like day 2 to me! Way to go Max and Mamabean!

And when we were on trial, I only tested am and pm, maybe at pm+3 if I thought his pm number was a little high. Enjoy doing fewer pokes, and not having to worry about going hypo! :-D
