Have not had a pre shot or any number this high for a while.Could the one time dose reduction two cycles ago be making us play Catchup a little ? We went right back to the .25 from the skinny next cycle. Our insulin is 8 weeks old, it looks fine , I wonder if this could be the problem.

Hey Ronnie,

+3 97 so better. He did eat some left over steak scraps last nite and mabe some this am.We are just getting spoiled with the low blues and greens.he threw us an odd yellow last week to.Thanks for your reply.

I would vote for toasty insulin. When Gabby was getting wonky numbers, the first thing Jojo asked me about was how old my Lantus was. It was like the insulin wasn't totally bad but it was working inconsistently. What's good, though, is that Brutus' numbers came down -- possibly in response to his pancreas putting out some insulin in response to food.

Do you have a new cartridge/pen? In your situation, a vial may be cheaper to get than a box of pens. However, if you call around, there may be places that would sell one pen. One of the university med centers in my area will sell one pen.

Just a couple of numbers, one day--I vote for toasty insulin--I usually just get about 32 day out of it, This last time, 40 days from a lantus solostar pen!! Miraculous!--Hope Brutus's number come down!
