Ok, gotta vent here a little bit. The hardest part of this whole deal is weeknds like this one coming up, the 4th of July.
Tons of possible plans, yet none of them are very close to me and of course my 2 dosing friends are out of town which is expected.
I hate telling my friends I don't think i can make it because I have to dose Tigger.
So I guess my only option is to put 450 miles on the car and head out each day at 4pm after a dosing and come back late that night.
I offered the one gal who currently covers for me, $5 per stop if her daughter would be interested in learning how to do it. I'm not going to try to get her to poke the ears and test, it took me forever to get it down and afraid she'd say no if she has to do that. If TIggers in the 300's i'm not going to sweat the checks and just dose 3U with the Lantus pen to keep it simple as possible.
For this weekend i'm staying at 3u even though TIgger is due a dose increase, then her daughter (if she'll do it) can just do the Lantus pen and its simpler.
I think $5 per stop for 5 minutes is worth it, right? What do other people do?
I have some short trips coming up this summer and my coverage is going to be spotty with my 2 backup dosers. Have to figure something out

We pay $5 per stop if all they are doing is the shot. Good luck good luck! I would definitely hold off on the increase until the weekend is over as well.
