What a nice day yesterday - a day of recovery for Mannie. Bye bye yellows ad pinks of the day before, hello blues and greens. It was a great day all around, and no complaints!!! :cool: :razz: :razz: :-D I tried to keep Mannie at a lower carb food through last night, but a 59 with two hours to go til nadir was low enough for me, so went with a 14%. I'd really had hoped to keep him in the 60-70 range. Even with the 14% he was intent upon surfing the 50's. What a night! :cool: :razz: :razz: and this morning?? oh boy.... here we go again! Mannie - well done yesterday - your bean is proud of you! cat_pet_icon

I took the following photo yesterday while Mannie slept, and DGS played. So so close.... each with their own thing, each content. Will you look at Mannie - not a care in the world, DGS is OK, nanners are safe, and now he can sleep.

All is well in MannieLand. The civvie whack-a-thon of the night before was repeated last night at fuds time, though it was more of a mini version. Mannie was the whacker, the girls the whackees... He's so funny - he sits so still, and out of the blue up goes the paw - WHACK!, and then all is calm once again. :lol: :lol: :lol: The girls have that :shock: look on their face... too darn funny.... We have normalcy this morning. Good test feed shoot, fuds were approved by the nanner king :cool: , CPC intact :razz: . Major face washing in progress - guess they really were good fuds! :-D And as always the boy has retreated to the nanner pile for some nap time. I left him there last night after all those pokies, found him there this morning, and so there he returns after breffis, for some major cuddle time. It was a late night last night for both of us..... but, Life is good. :cool: :cool: :razz: :razz: :razz:

So here we are - Fursday. and DGS duties continue through Friday. I hope to make condos, forgive me if I cannot. I am thinking of you all, hope your kitties are doing well. Think GREEN kitties!

My Friends - WOW, and what a birthday party for Tray - that cake!!! Tess made it with green frosting - AWESOME! :cool: and the after party at the lagoon!! SWEET!!!! I don't know how we can top that today.... maybe some dune sliding in the sands of the desert.... What'd'ya guys think? ~~ Mannie

Looks like Mannie is going to keep you busy today. Hey, soon you can teach Nicholas how to test!! (well, maybe not that soon!). Have a lovely day and I hope you will get out on your hike (Mannie permitting).

Oh how cute! I would say a bonding and love connection has taken place, just looking at the picture. Priceless picture, I just got caught up with your last night condo when I was up early. What a pj party you all had last night! Mannie is doing great and what a recovery. Have a nice day today and hope you can rest some, too.

Michelle - Mannie has a special place in my heart. He lifts my spirits when ever I read your narrative and see pictures. Thank you. I'm seriously loving your pictures of your hikes also. Makes me wish I was there.

Mannie - Dune sliding sounds awesome!!!! The party for Tray was so great - I am still full!! My bean says it looks like I want to play in the green lagoon - I don't know what that is, but I likes to play so it sounds fun to me. Zoe

That +2 was an eye opener, and I thought - here we go again.... but he seems to have leveled out, and will get a really nice high green, low blue surf out of it all. YES!! Happy to see this after all those carbs last night.... I thought for sure we would have yellow today. Just when you think you have them figured out, you realize you don't. :roll: :cool: :razz: I did feed Mannie a 10% food after the +2, as I needed to get Nicholas, aka DGS, and one never knows how long that drive will take in "that" traffic... so played it safe....

He Melissa - thanks! I liked the photo too... those two will indeed get along very well. I even have Mannie settled down for his nap next to DGS is so nice to see. :cool: and thanks too on yesterday - wow! looks like today may be a good one too. HOORAY!

Hi Ella - isn't it a great photo? I like it alot too. Yes on Mannie - though I was a little surprised to see the surf start up so early. That's OK - makes it a little easier to manage this morning. :razz: and YES!!! on Nicholas - my potential backup tester! guess I may have to wait awhile though huh! Looks like we will be able to get out today - weather is so so, so we are waiting until tomorrow to travel and hike. Today we will focus on local stuff.

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - yep -definite relationship brewing there. I Love it, and am grateful Mannie has finally decided this kid is OK. --- and oh yes on the PJ party - Mannie liked the 50's and there he stayed... I finally had to cave and get the gravy - it was so late...... thanks goodness for ~O) ~O) in the morning! Jets are fueled and ready to go now...

They are an added benefit: great hike, and then I come home with a ka-zillion photos so I can later on remember all that it was. fun stuff!

This is VERY cool!! Seems the late carbs last night didn't bother him at all!! YAY!!! I love looking at Mannie's SS. Talk about consistency...158th dose!!!

LOVE the photo....that is absolutely precious. Mannie is fine with Nicholas provided his nanners are safe. And Mannie whacked the girls!!! For shame big guy...you need to be nice to your elders and ladies at that!!!

I gots to figure out how to control this thing. Dunes it is, that should make for a nice soft landing. We can use the balloon to get home. With all of us it shouldn't go too high. -- Tess

Mannie!! Didn't you know you aren't supposed to hit girls?

Leo wanted me to invite Mannie and the gang over tomorrow for a fish feast, since I'm bringing home a whack load of fish from work. Plus its Canada Day, so fireworks afterwards, it'll be a great party!!

Nice numbers from the Manster, he's really surfing those low blues isn't he?

Thanks everyone for the visits today. It's been a nice day - rains stopped, still cloudy, but it was good enough for a woods walk with DGS - so off we went. He even managed to stay awake for all of it. :shock: :razz: :cool: :cool: For that I was grateful - I front pack carry him, and let me tell you, when he falls asleep, and everything just "hangs" all those pounds increase in weight 4 times over.... omg.....

Hi Barb - How are you!! I miss your daily condo. How is the back? And Checkers???? Still drinking from the faucet? and thanks - it's been a good day for Mannie. me too on the photo. :-D

Hi Marje - It is cool - and no - he didn't hit the yellows due to all those carbs - maybe because it was just food, and no gravy until I wet to bed. I dunno..... at anyrate - what he ate didn't escalate anything... and yeah - consistency... never ever thought I'd be able to write that about Mannie. It's always been bungees and trampolines and cliff dives and scuba gear and mermaids........ and yes Mannie whacked the girls. :shock: :roll: :roll: thx on the photo. soon they will be sleeping together. Mannie always did when the boys lived at home.

Hi Ann - it is isn't it - just at the right place. What a joy to see... and this is Mannie?????????????? DGS and I did a woods walk today, it's short, about 2 hours, and I could keep a watch on Mannie too - tomorrow I plan on taking DGS to one of the islands here for a cliff hike - which is about a 5-6 hour thing. That one will depend upon Mannie.... :roll:

Hi Tracy - It is nice - the two of them. It has taken Mannie a while to get used to a baby- he really wasn't too sure about all the crying... that has subsided and Mannie has come to learn that the little kid is OK. He's always been a people kitty, loved the kids/boys when they lived at home, so I think he will DGS too. oh well on the whacking.... half the time he's the one getting whacked - I guess he figured it was their turn. :lol: :lol:

Hi Michelle, since it is a +2, maybe it is a food spike. Sometimes Maggie is high and it's mostly a food spike. It's not that much differenct than the +1! Maybe you will get some sleepus tonight. Glad you got in a walk today with DGS.

Hi Ann - I think so too. His +3.5 is down some. even still a nice nice day for Mannie - and YES!!!!! can sleep tonight - anti-jinx! Me too on the walk with DGS - it really is fun to take him - he is so curious about all that he sees. it is truly great!
