6/30 Kasha AMPS 136, PMPS 92 + Pics

Appetite kind of lousy again, but all food left out last night was gone. There are food bowls left out for Kasha and Blue. I'm going to try to go btb for 1 more hour. Today is grooming day - I'm going to have to post some before and after pics... Kasha was shaved down at the vet 3 mos ago and she is a shaggy monster again (long, long hair and even though it looks like it's all grown back, I know that it can still get longer!). Wish us luck. I'm kind of excited about our first real grooming experience - and with a real groomer who specializes in cats! Of course, I forgot to ask how much this is going to cost or what kind of payment she accepts, so I've either got to get in touch with her today or come prepared with cash...

Kasha just removed her face from a food bowl and sneezed twice, while looking right at me.

In case anyone hasn't seen this - here is a great video my dad sent me yesterday of the cat, Oscar, who received prosthetic feet - you see the first time he tries to walk on them... it's just amazing!

Oh my gosh, that's amazing! It brought tears to my eyes. What a great cat and Vet, too!

Maggie can't wait to see Blue's new haircut; she doesn't mind it long either.

Great AMPS for Kasha, too. I slept in til almost 3:30 am.

we took our boy cheddar to the "beauty parlor" he loved it! He would run to the carrier when we started talking about it ... I hope kasha has a good visit today, I'm sure she'll look gorgeous when they are done ... right along with that pretty amps!

Ann... you and your "sleeping in" til almost 3:30 am!!!

I don't want to disappoint Maggie, but Blue is not going to the groomer... I think we may try it sometime, but he's been thru enough in the last month. He's going to continue to rock the long-hair look. Besides, he doesn't really have an undercoat, so doesn't have quite the problems with mats that Kasha has (she has an incredibly thick undercoat that tangles and mats easily). Ever since Kasha's coat has grown in from when the vet shaved her down 3 mos ago - no mats. It's great. More comfortable for her too. Except she looked a little like something from a sci-fi movie when I first brought her home... Then she just looked like a miniature lion for a while... So adorable...

Kasha was 84 when I left the house at +2.1. Now where is she going to go with that while I'm gone until +9?

Might want to see if Kasha will eat a bit! Great numbers.

The video of Oscar is amazing. I loved the vet's reaction and comments about how wonderful it feels to save a life.

Well, I'm 7 miles away from Kasha right now, but I'll try to communicate telepathically with her, ok? LOL...

She was eating some LC when I was leaving the house (right after I tested her). I left out nearly 2 full cans of FF for her and Blue, which should be enough to last them thru the afternoon...

Aw that's okay with Maggie. She likes the Rock Star long hair look anyway! Blue has been thru a lot. Kasha is looking real good today with her bg readings.

When we left to go to the groomer, Kasha's BG was 84, when we got back - it was 85. Good girl!

Except she's been sneezing ever since we left - I think either the dry shampoo they used or the spritz of kitty cologne may have pushed her over the edge, since she's been sneezing on and off anyway.

She ate a full dinner - over 2 Tbsp FF. I hate the sneezing though. She's got lysine in her food, so hopefully she'll eat up the rest tonight.

Your condo is just hopping with all kinds of positive energy today! The numbers, the pix, the video, all just wow! Kasha is TOO ADORABLE with her kittykut!
 
Kasha went to bed early to be away from people calling her "cute". Apparently "beautiful", "gorgeous", and similar terms are acceptable, but "cute" is not one she prefers ;-)
